Greater than one weekMy family typically uses Aquaphor as my daughters have extremely sensitive skin and suffer from eczema. It is rare that I am willing to try a different product on them for fear of causing skin issues but I use and trust the Dove brand as an adult so I was willing to try it on my daughters. To me, this lotion absorbs well & is quite moisturizing. Its not as thick as some other creams or lotions but still moisturizes well. I very much like this lotion (for me) but strangely my daughters dislike it and complain that it feels sticky on their skin. I like this lotion but Ive yet to convince my daughters to use it.

> 3 dayI use this for my newborn daughter and me (I nurse and worry about using anything that’s scented that could break her face out) I love that it’s actually unscented and has not broke her skin out at all. It works good for her skin and keeps her from drying out. I don’t regularly apply to the face but I have applied to dry patches on the face when she had them and it worked wonders.

Greater than one weekI usually love the Dove product line, finding Dove personal care products to be reasonably priced and well designed to deliver just what I like. That said, I found that this Baby Dove Lotion fell short of my expectation. Before trying it out on a real baby (a grandbaby in this case), I tried it a couple of times on my hands and arms: Nice consistency, thick-bodied. I appreciate that it is hypoallergenic, PH balanced, and fragrance free (and it is truly zero-fragrance). Personally, I prefer a light fragrance - something that Dove has done well with their facial cleansers and after-shave balms. But considering that this is a baby-friendly product, I understand why fragrance-free may be preferred. My complaint is with the post-application greasiness. Call it greasy or what you will, but it left me with a sensation of a residue on my skin - not silky but more like greasy. Both times I used it, after 10 minutes or so, I was finally so creeped out over the sensation of something on my hands that I gave up and washed them clean with soap and water (I actually waited half an hour the second time). I assume this moisturizes well and does no harm, but the uncomfortable feeling earns this only about 3 1/2 stars in my estimation. I assume safe to use on baby?, but I wont be using it on me. If I may add an additional thought regarding packaging. I DO advise buying in this squeeze bottle format, which is simple and problem free to use. I say that because I had also sampled the this same product in the 20 ounce pump dispenser version. The pump did not work - at all. So Id go with this one.
