I get really wildly dry hands due to my profession causing me to have to wash them a few times an hour sometimes. Coupled with some light psoriasis and its been a totally painful, sore, aligator-skin feeling couple of weeks. I was getting desperate for a solution because regular lotions werent helping at all. Google led me to this balm and its made huge strides in keeping my hands from being miserable. The smell isnt the most amazing but its not necessarily off-putting. Reminds me of the smell of vasoline. The biggest factor is that it does the trick! I like to take a nice shower before bed and hit up any problem areas (heels, hands, elbows) with some bag balm and voila! The next morning theyre significantly less pained. I just repeat it a few more nights and theyre good as new. It has gotten to the point where I only need to do this little ritual every couple of weeks, rather than every night! Trust me, this stuff works.

I use this on my scaleless ball python and it helps keep his skin supple and helps him have perfect sheds.

My chiropractor noticed my dry, cracked heels and recommended this product and it is awesome! When used as recommended on a daily basis my feet stay soft and supple between pedicures when before, theyd start cracking after a day or so. Ive purchased it multiple times, as I cant go without it. I put it on every night and again in the morning. It works best if you can wear socks for a little while after applying as the heat caused by the socks seems to soften it even more but even if you cant do that, youll see a noticeable difference if you are diligent.

Bag Balm is my go-to for small cuts and scrapes. I put the tiniest amount on before the bandaid, and in the post-bandaid days a tiny amount to keep the wound moisturized. Amazon has a better price than the Bag Balm website.

Ive been asked by Amazon to rate this product again; Ill simply repeat my earlier review. The product has been around since 1897l Its amix of lanolin (thank you sheep) and petorlautum (thank you John D. Rockefeller). It just works. Ive used this product for years. I bought an 8 ounce tin of it from a feed store in dairy country in Washington State years ago. And years is how long an 8 ounce tin will last. When the soles of your feet are cracked and dry (a common occurrence in a Southern California late fall and early winter) you rub Bag Balm on them. Depending upon how bad your feet are, it may take several days and applications to get the job done. But it does get the job done. Kinda messy to apply--so I put it on, then put my sock over, wiping my hands on a towel--then on to the other foot, and finally get the bag balm off my hands with Boraxo and water. It was originally developed to ease chafing on dairy cow udders. But what the heck, its great for my feet as well. I figure at the rate I use it that four ounce tin ought to last me about 5 years. My wife uses it for her hands on occasion and has told her friends about it--and theyve bought the product.

Ive had chronic chapped lips my whole life. I put this on every night before bed on my lips and I no longer have chapped lips, Im honestly amazed. Ive used Vaseline, Carmex, Burts bees, but this is the only product that has worked. Knocked one star off for the smell, not great.

Had never heard of this product but my Vet suggested using it on my dog and it works perfectly.

i’m in love with this stuff!! it’s so moisturizing. i actually use it as a lip balm and it has made my lips baby soft. i bought this product because madelyn cline from outer banks uses it and said that she puts it on at night and in the morning all the dead skin on her lips has fallen off which is the same for me. the smell takes some getting used to but i like it honestly.

It is thick snd takes a while to soak in but works great gor dry skin especially after bathing.
