Best face wash currently on the market. Takes makeup off completely, especially foundation....mascara too, but I still use by eye oil to remove mascara after washing (my choice). It foams up so much, you only need a small pea-size dollop to wash entire face. Some people say their face feels a bit dry after washing, but really this is just what clean feels like. After washing at night, I wake up to the most soft feeling skin. Ive noticed that in the am, my face has a nice tone. Ive used this product for over 12 years. The squeeze bottle used to be sold at Walmart but now they only sell the bar soap. I prefer the bottle and can only find it on amazon. I bottle lasts me 1 month of face washing 2x per day.

I bought this from CVS years ago, and I have not stopped purchasing it it for 10 years now. Takes all my makeup off and makes my face feels so soft. I have acne prone and sensitive skin. I would recommend this to EVERYONE!!

With the recent ban of the antibiotic triclosan in acne face wash products, I needed to find a replacement for my Nivea face wash the worked great for my type of skin. After doing some research, I found some posts of some people in the same predicament that mentioned they found this product as a good replacement. It was inexpensive so I gave it a shot, and so far it seems to be working well! It cleans and leaves the skin feeling moist and not dried out. It has a nice light natural fragrance, which only last while cleaning, I dont notice it once I dry my face. I am usually sensitive to most items with fragrance, but this one didnt bother me at all. It is a great price and works, I just hope that Amazon keeps selling this product for a long time! This isnt billed as an acne wash, so I dont think it has an antibiotic in it, so for some people it may not be strong enough for their skin condition, but since it is relatively inexpensive it is worth a try, I believe a lot of acne is caused by overly dry skin which causes more oil production, so I think this product helps by keep the skin moist after cleaning.

Ive used this cleanser for years as the second step in a double-cleansing routine. It is gentle enough for my combination sensitive skin but TRULY gets rid of all traces of waterproof makeup and stubborn sunscreen. Ive tried other brands and they either dont get my skin as clean or they are too drying/irritating. Basis works just great, and you cant beat the price!! This used to be in every drugstore or supermarket but for some reason its disappeared from the shelves - so glad I can order it from Amazon. And the three-pack is convenient because it keeps me in stock.

My face had broke out from wearing those surgery mask. So I switched to cloth mask and started using this, with witch hazel as a toner, and I’m already seeming results in 2 weeks time

This is an awesome basic face cleanser. I love how it smells, lathers, rinses, and how my face feels afterwards. Skin is clean and soft. This cleanser is said to be for normal to oily skin. But if you have sensitive skin that is not SUPER sensitive, Im sure you can use this. Thats the kind of skin I have. I tried other formulas that are made for sensitive skin (Cetaphil) and found those to be too gentle that it didnt give me the clean feeling I wanted. This cleanser took off my make-up and really gave me balanced results--dry parts were cleaned without over drying and oily parts were cleaned and unwanted oils were removed. I stopped using this cleanser for a while only because I couldnt find it in stores anymore. Im so glad that Amazon carries it and at an even better price than before since Im using Subscribe and Save. I highly recommend this cleanser. I only wished it came in a more convenient pump dispenser. Last note: Make sure you do not get this stuff in your eyes. I feel like when it gets in my eyes, its more painful than when I get shampoo/soap suds in my eyes. It might be effects of the minty botanicals... but just heed my caution.

Ive used countless types of face washes and I always go back to Basis. I first started using Basis over 10 years ago in college. It smells great, its light, leaves your skin clean, takes make-up off easily. It leaves a light refreshing scent, nothing strong. I feel like my skin is actually clean after using this, no residue, no tightness in skin or burning. I also have sensitive skin and this has never irritated me. This is my go to face wash and I order it in bulk, Im so scared they will stop making it as I no longer see it in stores, I hope not though. So glad Amazon carries it.

There are a lot of facial cleansers out there that are fine, but many cost a lot more than this, with dubiously valuable ingredients. Truth is, facial cleansers only stay on your face for a very short time, so any additives hardly have a chance to have any effect! When you need is something to remove excess oil without drying out the skin. This stuff is perfect for that. Basis is a very trusted brand. As a physician, I have long recommend Basis brand products to patients who needed simple, gentle cleaning without extra potential irritants and allergens. It smells pleasant without being perfumy. It washes off quickly and cleanly without drying the face. Its my go-to facial cleanser for everyday, and I put some into a mini-size, sealable container for when I travel. Very economical, especially in the three-pack. No drawbacks or hesitations. Highly recommended!
