You have to secure it down or it moves around when you use it. It did not work for me at all.

The seller sent me a defective mat that had been previously returned by another customer as evidenced by the torn open plastic bag the mat was in. So, I cannot give any review on the function of the mat. However, I can share that even though the mat is very thin I think it would work fine as a BBQ mat. It seems as if it will absorb occasional grease drips that happen when grilling. I would probably think twice about using it where a lot of oil/grease would occur, but for the occasional drips it would be a good protection of your patio or deck.

My husband works on cars. Who else hates when a greasy mess is left on the floor of the garage? I thought this would help, and it really does. I have not tried washing/cleaning it yet to see how it holds up but otherwise it is great.

Just received this, I wouldn’t exactly call this a mat. It is a piece of felt with plastic on one side. Could wad it up like paper. For sure not worth $8! Should be sold in the dollar store! Junk!

My husbands car leaks a little oil or something, although our mechanic says it doesn’t! That said my husband puts down some type of white gritty stuff to absorb the mess, and that spreads around the garage that I’m always sweeping back to the oil spot, or sweeping and throwing away, then putting down more absorbing white stuff.. This Dossetop mat hopefully is absorbing the oil now, and no more gritty mess in the garage, that the kids seem to walk threw! One side of the mat feels like a type of tight thin felt material, and the other side is a shiny vinyl material that lays down on the cement that Keeps the oil from coming through The mat , and keeps the mat from slipping around. Since my husbands car does not have any major leak this should last for a long time, I hope. I’m not a fan of hoseing this down to put oil in my dirt, as I live on a river and do Not want any oil in the river,or ruining My garden, and veggie garden. When I looked at the picture of this mat, I see something on the mat that I thought this comes with to Catch any oil drippings to go into, but its only the mat.. Btw, does anyone know what that is on the middle og the mat?

I requested the Dossetop Oil Spill Mat (36 X 30) as a preventative measure. I wanted to keep my garage floor looking pristine. The Dossetop oil spill mat is lightweight and easy to lift up, carry, and lay down. I placed it under my 2013 Hyundai Elantras engine block. The non-slip backing keeps it from sliding around. My car is built well. So far, no leaks or spills of any fluids. However, my lawnmower began leaking oil, and I quickly placed the Dossetop oil spill mat underneath it. It does a great job of catching and trapping the oil. The oil does not seep through the mat and damage my garage floor. The mat can also be cut down to size if it is too large. Also, I can easily pick up the Dossetop oil spill mat , carry it outside, and clean it with a scrub brush and bucket of sudsy water. The mat quickly dried after I draped it over a balcony railing at my parents house. They live across the street from me. Therefore, even if your car isnt leaking oil (or other automobile fluids), it is nice to have the Dossetop oil spill mat in case your lawnmower or golf cart (or whatever piece of machinery you keep in your garage) begins leaking oil. I have an ordinary concrete garage floor but some of my friends have spent a lot of money on epoxy floors. The Dossetop oil spill mat would make a great gift for the mechanic in your life.

It has a good size 36 x 30 somewhat wide, this piece has a part that does not let it slide keeping it in place at all times. On the other hand it is waterproof so you can change the oil in your car, make crafts that include liquids. Protects the area where it is placed and is easy to wash. It is an indispensable item in our garage and craft area where you work with paint and other liquids

Fits perfectly underneath my sink. It has a rubbery texture underneath, so I m assuming it wont let any water through.
