> 3 dayInitial impressions are positive. Purchased this mini fan to improve ventilation and move air around the inside of a micro-cruiser sailboat cabin. Seems to have adequate airflow for that purpose. Chose this model over others due to design. Variable speed, not just low, med and high. Clip or table top base use. 18650 lipo battery. Fan is relatively quiet. Basically just air movement noise. Gimbal mount allows flexible positioning of air flow in every direction. Clamp is padded with a closed cell foam like material. Clamp allows for ~3/4” thick surface. Pushing it to ~1” is possible. Grip is still positive due to the foam. Powered through the micro-USB charging plug with a 12.5 watt solar panel. Controller limits set at 5V, max 2.1A. Only weird thing was the fan had only one speed. Full on. Powered with the same solar set up with the battery installed allowed variable speed. The battery compartment only allows use of flat top 18650 lipos. Too short for protected batteries. 18650 of choice are KeepPower 3500mAh protected (aka button top) lipos. Used in everything else that accepts 18650. Not sure if the built in charger has a quality battery management system. Unprotected lipo, bad battery charge control can result in a dangerous event. Supposedly the unit will shut down if battery voltage drops below 3.2V under load. If so, little risk to damaging battery during use. Maximum discharge rate is low (<1C)for this fan. Little risk to all but real junky Lipos. Will use “smart” charger vs. the fan’s charger. 4*s for now. If the fan lasts at least one season of use it’s a 5* unit.

> 3 dayI ordered this fan for my tiny bathroom (I get warm while getting ready in the morning) and loved it so much, I ordered one for my office and one for my coworker! The clip is strong and the 360 degree rotating feature is fantastic! I ran into one issue though (once almost immediately after receiving my first one and again almost two years later): the part where you plug it in tends to become loose, which leaves it unable to charge. The good news is that the customer service is amazing and they make it right. Both times, they sent me a brand new fan as soon as I reported the problem. What really won me over is the fact that even after two years, they were willing to promptly replace the product with absolutely no hassle. If you’re looking for a lightweight clip-on fan, look no further. This is the company to purchase from!

Greater than one weekI bought this little thing to use in our 24 travel trailer that we keep on a site where were slowly building our new house. I had shopped for portable fans on many sites and chose this one and I dont even remember why I purchase this one - probably because it had the best reviews in its price tag. Most of the fans I looked at took D batteries, but not this one! I didnt recall reading that it was USB rechargeable, and that part works great. We only have 120v power when running a generator, so we rely on 12V, USB powered stuff for our trailer. We do have solar hooked up, so I could leave it plugged in to the one USB port in the trailer, but its really nice at home too so it travels back and forth. The clip is nice and big and clips on all sorts of spots to help circulate air in the trailer. PLUS it has this flat base in the design of the clip so you can set it on the table or counters or any flat surface! The variable speed is great. The head swivels in every direction - theres no limit to how you can direct the air. It runs while plugged into USB. That means at home I use it as my desk fan and when were up at our camper, I use it in the kitchen to help keep me cool. The price has gone up 25% since I bought it last week - at least for my account on Amazon. Im not sure I would have bought this at the current price.

> 3 dayUsing this to clip on outside little screened window on chicken hen house. Powered off 24/7 usb plug to keep air moving inside and on them at night. Hardly uses battery but should power fail they will have it running at least a few hours. Gets dirty constantly I just hose it off let it dry and plug it back in keeps on going! First one lasted a year in this condition which IMO is pretty good for the cost.

> 3 dayI LOVE this fan! Like you, I was skeptical something this small could be such a powerhouse. It keeps things cool in the day and honestly it gets things a little chilly at night on low setting, so thats really dope. The clip is even wide enough for me to attach to the car handle. I wish it was a little softer on high, but its high so theres only so loud/soft it can be. My baby and I sleep sleep through it with no issue. UPDATE: I purchased this November 2019 and its now March 2020. I took one star off because when I turn it horizontally, it moves out of position, as if some part of it got loose. I cant seem to figure it out. I guess at least vertically works, but its very inconvenient for me because I use it daily. Its still a little loud on low, but it doesnt bother me anymore. Its kind of nice having the white noise. Its still giving a strong breeze and I find the battery actually lasts longer than they say.

> 3 dayGreat little fan while it worked. Should have lasted longer than two years. Battery no longer charged and the fan would not work when the USB was plugged in either. I emailed the company and after a few exchanges, they sent a replacement fan. Excellent customer service.

> 3 dayThis item is compact, portable and has a variety of ways to mount. Fan cools you wherever you need it. My only dislike is the rubber clamp feet could be constructed from vibration damping material- When clamped to the bed headboard it is effective at cooling but the vibration sound keeps me awake.

> 3 dayThis is a cool little fan, pun intended. I have used it at the gym for over 4 hours total. It wont clip onto the sides of an elliptical or treadmill as shown in the pictures, but will clip onto the small lip/shelve on the elliptical and clip onto the cubby/lip on the treadmill just fine. I run it on the slowest speed and it moves a lot of air. I had to remove the 2 plastic covers on both sides to tighten the small screws to keep the fan pointed in my direction otherwise the fan kept slowly rotating downward and the air flow not at my neck/face area. Battery: I have many 18650 batteries that I use in my LED torches (Flashlights). The fans 18650 is a bit shorter than all my other 18650s. None of my 18650s fit into the battery compartment on this fan. So when this battery fails to take a charge I think that will be it. SkyGenius decal on the front of the fan is crooked, not level. I took it off and then reapplied correctly. Overall, I like it. SG battery is the one on the right. Its the pinkish/purple one. Notice the height differences.
