The monitor is nice and large but lacks in the deeper blacks (FIXED). On my laptop screen, it shows a nice and dark black, but on the monitor, it seems to be dulled out and grayed, but it isnt too bad. For PC gaming, Id highly recommend getting a higher refresh rate monitor such as 120-144hz because it would utilize those frames better. For consoles, this would be a perfect monitor as you probably wouldnt be going over 100 fps anyway. For others looking for a monitor to just surf the web, this would also be a perfect and relatively cheap option for a monitor Overall, a great monitor, but would wait until its under $120 if it wasnt already. A regular price of $150 seems a bit too steep for a 60hz monitor. EDIT I found the reason as to why the blacks werent as dark. For some reason, the monitor comes in with nightlight turned on by default, filtering out blue light. Also, the adaptive brightness was also off by default. Make sure to configure your monitor after installing it.

This monitor is really bright, And it is worth mentioning that Its bezels are so much smaller than I thought they would be. If you are looking for a sleek daily driver monitor this is the one. Its worthy to note that the eye care features work but I usually turn them off. One minor thing that I really liked was the ease of cable management at the back. This monitor Is huge too, It is such a ease to my eyes to not have to strain my eyes on a small screen. My only disappointment with this monitor was the light that bleeds, Giving a gross yellow color on the sides of the screens while it displays black

My package arrived, banged up and torn. I was going to return it. So I called Amazon support. And with Amazon support, I was encouraged to open the box to see if it works or if there’s any damage. My screen wasn’t damaged. It looked great, and so we turned it all together. And I’m so glad I listen to the Amazon support person. Ethan. Thank you. My eyes are grateful to you. This is such a great product. If you have work from home, or if you have to do coding or you have to look at multiple screens at the same time. This doesn’t hurt your eyes. Or if you have a laptop with a crappy screen with high blue light and high flickering. This is a great alternative to add to it so you don’t have to look at that terrible screen. That was my case. And now I’m so glad. Within one day, my eyes are even better than before. So I might even return my glasses clipped that I bought just for this purpose.

Its a good budget monitor, and I I dont have an issue with the reactive brightness. I can play with overhead lights and then completely in the dark and I never have to change the brightness. Its also not a drastic change thats immediately noticable, its a comfortable transition that doesnt bug my eyes or make me strain to see (and I have poor eyesight lol). Its also very sturdy and heavily built which makes it feel more expensive than it is. Ive played a multitude of games (valheim, skyrim, wow, rust, fallout etc) and they all look great running high graphics. I dont notice delays, shadows, or any other malfunctions and colors/textures seem true. The only complaint I have is that the screen came with a burned pixel which sucks. I decided not to send it back as its on the top left and I dont see it while Im playing games, but when I edit photos I can really see it and it gets annoying. Overall though, good monitor and Im happy with the purchase.

Ive read a lot about the color reproduction being less than great and the lighting to be too low. Out of the box, the brightness was set to 85, lowered it to 75 and its perfect for my office. Ive tested the eye relief function and seems to work well. Blacks are pretty faithfully reproduced, minimal light leakage around the bottom bezel. Color reproduction is pretty great for this price range and video and games are vivid. I tested Doom, Skyrim, and (dont judge me) Minecraft and they all seem pretty clear. Doom is faster paced and the refresh rat at 60hz is not too shabby. I know 75 and up is the standard for gaming right now, but there isnt much visible difference in my opinion. Im happy with the build quality as well. It is all plastic construction, but sturdy.

Was able to buy these while they were on sale and they have performed beyond my expectations. I purchased two and wished I had purchased three. The room adaptive light feature works great and I very much like it. I didnt rate this for gaming because I dont use it for that but I cant imagine why it wouldnt perform equally well. I do a great deal of graphic work and though the computer these are connected to is not the computer I use do most of my graphics, I do use these monitors do quality control tests on graphics and video. As I stated in my headline, these are a great value.

Exactly what I wanted for a second monitor. Keep in mind the hdmi that comes with it was a little short for me. Has a great viewing angle and works perfectly.

This is the 4th 27 BenQ monitor I have ordered. I purchased two for my subordinates at an old job and 2 for myself in my new work-from-home position. They have proven to be reliable monitors though I THOUGHT I was going to have problems with this last one as it didnt power-up initially. However, it did and has continued to work seamlessly as the others have. The price is great for a large hunk of screen real estate. This monitor has great sound even without external speakers. It has both HDMI and VGA inputs to suit your needs. No USB input for an external USB camera but your computer should suffice. All in all, I would definitely buy a BenQ again, a name not many know but is a great buy for sure!

I am comparing this monitor with LG 27GN800-B, which is about twice more expensive. So its not a fair comparison. Side by side, color is not so impressive compared to the LG monitor. But overall this monitor is pretty good for its price.

I have been using two of these at the office for about 6 months now and they work great for me. I dont do graphics work so I cant comment on color accuracy, but for standard office work they are great. I would order these again if I had need. Note: Although the bezel around the edges is thin (maybe 1/16?), the actual usable area of the monitor is NOT all the way out to the edges of the plastic bezel. The usable screen area starts about 1/4 in from the outside edges (top & sides). Its not a big problem for me, but I didnt realize this when I ordered it.
