BESTEK 300W Power Inverter DC 12V to 110V AC Car Inverter with 4.2A Dual USB Car Adapter

First off, this is a nice car inverter. I purchased this to go in our car to be able to use on car trips. It has two USB ports and two 3 prong plug outlets. It has a long enough cord to be able to set in middle of front seat to easily reach to back seats. I think this was made for a powerful user. I say this because the fan constantly runs and is very noisy and I have to turn the volume up in order to hear properly. I like how sturdy the housing is. For the price, I was expecting something a little more flimsy. I also like the on/off switch on the back with the light. It tells me if I have it plugged in properly although, the loud fan will tell me anyway. He He He!

For whatever reason, the USB ports continue to draw current from the battery even with the inverter turned off, meaning if you leave things plugged into the USB ports and were hoping to rely on the On/Off switch to cut power to those devices when the vehicle is off, you’ll be sadly mistaken. For that reason this inverter is functionally useless to me.

The item came very quickly. For the price and size, this inverter packs a lot of power. I use it to power a mini stereo amp and two shelf speakers in my car. The inverter seems to have no problem powering it even when i crank the volume to full blast. I just wish it had some sort of mounting points on it so i could secure it to something.

Bought this for a long RV trip this winter so that we wouldn’t have to use the generator for the ice machine and other small appliances and it worked great! Used it 24 hours a day for 13 days at varying loads and this little gem chugged along quietly and without issue!

I figured this tho my laptop is beast and it’s prob just a power issue. It’s handy to have in your car tho but not for the long road trip!

4 stars because of price and features. It only lasted 14 months though and the fan in kind of loud. Also, would cycle on and off when under load (charging a MacBook Pro.. Couldnt charge it when the laptop was below 50% battery)
