> 3 dayThis vacuum works well for what it is but there are a few problems with the overall design. The suction is fine and it’s great for reading under low profile furniture. It’s also very easy to convert into handheld. The problems relate to the upright handle. It’s more flexible than I would like and durability is a concern. Also, the power button is too close to the top of the handle and I have frequently turned it off by accident when my hand slips slightly during use. The handle grip in the back isn’t particularly effective as well. Overall good performance for hard surfaces and thinner carpets.

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic product for tile floors. I have two now and had my first one for about four years. Recommend it highly. Lightweight and so easy to use. Gets under furniture easily too.

> 3 dayThe problem with modern stick vacuums is that they heavy and they place that weight in your hand, not down by the vacuum head. The result is that hand gets tired and the vacuum head never gets the weighting it needs to stay on the floor. This also means the head can skip it f you working on a rug. And you can never stand them up because the weight is the top. This Bissel unit places the handheld unit towards the door, so the wheels carry it and the head stays on the surface you are vacuuming. as a result, you do less work and it gets the job done faster. The vacuum unit detaches and works as a hand vac. Its easy to detach and reattach, and the dirt cup releases easily. Also nice is the folding arm, bends forward to help reach under furniture, and then backward for smaller storage. To me, this style is a no-brainer, but the trend is toward the style where the weight of the motor is in your hand and carried by hand, elbow, and shoulder. TWO NEGATIVES are 1) The attachments, which are really cheap, and 2) no place to carry them on the vacuum, or store them. Still, for the money, this is a decent lightweight stick vac for light duty and easy touch-ups.

19-11-2024My Dyson cordless finally broke after a few years, and since I dont have as many pets these days, I wanted to try something with a lower price point to replace it. I love the convenience of popping out the handheld vac. I only wish this had a dock or at least that the cord plug was somewhere towards the top. You have to fiddle to plug it in at the back towards the bottom of the vacuum. Thats my only gripe with this product. The folding feature is nice if you have limited space, but I havent found myself using it much.

> 3 dayIt does exactly what I was hoping for...easy, quick, lightweight. My house is 2 story with carpet upstairs and mostly tile downstairs. I hate carrying heavy vacuum up and down so this is perfect. I have a dog with longer hair so I get lots of hair collecting around char legs, etc. The swivel head really helps getting around and in between things. The battery lasts long enough so I dont feel like I have to constantly charge and the light indicates when to charge. I loved this so much I purchased one for my mom for Christmas. Shes 80 and would complain about her heavy vacuum. She said this was the best gift ever! The cost was relativity inexpensive when compared to vacuums Ive purchased in the past so Im not expecting it to last forever, but Im hoping to get a few year out of it. Ive owned this only a couple months, but for now I can highly recommend!

Greater than one weekWe purchased this vacuum on July 3, 2021. We chose this one because of the reviews, the light weight aspect, the features, and because it was cordless. We also bought into the helping animals marketing. On August 31, 2022 it did not turn on. We have maintained the equipment, changed filters, etc as the user manual directed. We have engineered hard wood (vinyl plank) throughout our home. We called the product support line provided by Amazon today, September 10, 2022. First representative- Gathered our information, did some trouble shooting, informed us we were out of guarantee (waranty) and that the best he could do was 20% off a new unit. We would have to pay shipping and there was no option for extended protection. The unit would take 1- 2 weeks to arrive at our home. Total cost would be around $120. We asked him to tell us why we should buy another Bissell if it was going to die right after the warranty period. He just kept reiterating that because we were outside the warranty, he could offer 20% off a new unit. We asked to be transferred to sales based on the assumption that a sales person might be better versed in reliability and if this was a frequent problem. He was pleasant enough, just very script focused. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes. Second representative- Asks for all our information AGAIN and is unable to understand us even when we spelled things out such as E as in Echo. Getting our address correct took over 5 minutes. We explain that our vacuum died, we had already done troubleshooting, the other rep offered us 20% off a new unit, but that we wanted to know why we should purchase a Bissell product again if it was just going to die right outside warranty. He started looking up other products. He suggested a corded vacuum that was suitable for carpet and also $400! We specified that we were not looking for other products and definitely not spending $400 on a vacuum that wouldnt work for us. He responded But that has a 2 year guarantee. He then wasted 10 more minutes of our lives reexplaining that our unit was out of warranty (we know) and if we want that one he can offer 20% off (we know) and that we also have to pay for shipping. We asked for a supervisor. Duration of this call segment: 25- 30 mins. Supervisor- We had to wait on hold roughly 5 minutes, so not bad at all for a weekend. The supervisor answers and sounds pissed off. Who am I speaking to? What is it you want? They have a non American accent, so we chalk it up to differences in grammar, not rudeness. We were wrong. We very briefly explain the issue. Our vacuum is just out of warranty and died. Were being offered 20% off a new unit, but were not sure we want to spend over $100 on a vacuum just to do it again in a year. Is this a common problem? Do your vacuums just make it through the warranty period and then die? We could hear a small dog loosing its yappy mind and a young (toddler?) aged child sing shrieking in the background. It was loud enough she was difficult to hear. We missed the first sentence or so and were able to hear ... Warranty was 2 years and expired in March (both these things are untrue) so 20% is a gift! No, it was a 1 year warranty and expired in July. Are you looking at the right customer? *she starts yelling angrily*I know what Im doing and you waited 4 months to call. Your warranty expired in March! What do you want?!? So were going to go ahead and take our money to a different company, thanks. We hung up. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes real time, 6 hours yelling, yapping, shriek singing time. We went to look up the corporate address to send a letter and found 4 on Google. We called the customer service line again. I gave my name and said I just wanted to corporate mailing address. Nothing complicated, just the address. She asked to place me on hold, but forgot to mute or actually place me on hold. I could hear her typing furiously for about 5 minutes. She came back and asked Why you want the address? I would like to send them a letter. I have 4 address in different locations and I wanted to make sure I sent it to the correct one. Or sometimes companies have post office boxes or something they prefer customers use. Well what addresses do you have? You... I.... You cant just give me the mailing address? No. What addresses do you have? At this point I got suspicious and said I have one in South Korea, one in Chicago, and two in Michigan. Grand Rapids is right. I have two though, one is 2345 Walker (true) and the other is 1200 Walker (false). Which is correct? They both work. Grand Rapids. Wow... Thanks I guess. and hung up. So customer service cant even get an address right. Overall it was a fantastic vacuum, until it wasnt. Get the extended protection or probably plan on shelling out $100- 200 a year to replace it when it dies a month or two out of warranty. I would not this for anyone on a fixed income as it just adds to your expenses. TL/DR: Works great until the warranty is up. Then doesnt and customer service is useless. Get the extra protection or pay every year.

> 3 dayIt’s okay. It works. The battery doesn’t last as long as it says, which is supposed to about 4 hours. It’s nice & I like it. Just doesn’t work for a house cleaning job

> 3 dayI LOVE this! I bought a house from a “flipper” and it is a little more than half carpet, the rest is hardwood and the kitchen, linoleum. I have four dogs. I also have neuropathy, making it hard to maneuver with no obstacles not to mention with furnishings. I have been struggling to keep the dog hair and dust down with a broom due to my asthma. Today I whipped out my little Bissell and gave it a whirl. It is very lightweight and easy to maneuver. I did not have to pull out my sofa and try to get behind with the broom. I simply used the bend down handle feature and away went all the fur and dust. I have huge library cabinets that cannot be moved, but I went right under those as well. I was disgusted at what the broom and Swiffer had been missing. I just can’t get under there like I used to. It took up pieces of kibble from the kitchen floor, bits of dried rice, and dirt the dogs bring in. I have a very dusty house despite air purifiers. This sucks up all the dust and human hair from the bathroom floor too. A word about carpet. This appliance is just fine for my area rugs and I am certain it would be fine for ordinary plush carpet of a standard depth. However, the “flipper” chose to put in cheap ugly shag carpeting (can you actually believe that?!) in the bedrooms and small family room). This product does not provide heavy suction for shag carpet. It did remove surface and craft glitter, but there were larger bits that I had to go over several times. I love this vacuum for the purpose I bought it for, to stay on top of the dog hair in my floored areas, which is where I spend 2/3 of my day. It does a fantastic job. No more taking the broom and dustpan out everyday. I love that it is cordless and recharges with ease. I am not tripping over a cord. The dirt bin is small, but it is simple to empty in 2 seconds. I did my living, dining, and kitchen areas and then had to empty it, but my home is small. This is a fabulous help to me!
