BISSELL SpotClean Pet Pro Portable Carpet Cleaner, 2458, Grapevine Purple, Black

Bissell is a reputable brand. I really wanted to like this and be able to keep it for small areas that my dogs love to have accidents on. It has great reviews and overall does what it claims, sorta. I am particular though. The suction just was not enough for me. It hurt my wrist after a while having to press down so hard to run the head over the carpet. You cant just go over it once after you spray. You have to add rigorous force to try to brush out any stains. The suction isnt superb, so you have to repeat your motions of removing the water. After reading reviews about the handle part breaking from a bad connection, I was very careful to have a good grip on where the head attaches to the tube. I did not use the carpet cleaner bottles that came with it. I used my Puracy carpet cleaner instead. The cord is super long, but the hose should be longer IMO. As for the soap & water reservoir, it is inconvenient for the cap to be on the bottom (although I understand why) because if you do not line it up just right, it starts leaking. I learned that the hard way and was so paranoid of continuous leaks, that I had it in a giant plastic tray while I moved around from room to room. Too much physical energy required on my end, and Im young and healthy! I dont recommend this if you are prone to wrist strains, elbow tendonitis, shoulder or lower back pain. I did get some good thigh and butt work in though, squatting to clean the hard to reach areas :). Overall, I prefer a professional to come to my house. Their equipment is just better.

I bought this carpet cleaner to wash my car floor and it worked great ! Also stains that I have in my house from puppy accidents were sucked up when it’s been sitting there forever ! It’s a great versatile carpet washer and it all depends what you need it for . The pro oxy urine remover worked great on my stains and I just pretreated them and was able to lift it out with the machine ! Just a reminder if you have a really dark stain that is stubborn it’s all about what cleaning solution you use to really see results !

I paid and received this little cleaner on time, however, the two most important tools, the stain trapper and 6 stair tool were not sent with the cleaner, and one small bottle of cleaner was also missing. Bissell needs to improve their packaging and shipping. To pay over $170 and not receive the most important tools is inexcusable. I had to call Bissell, talk to staff and wait another week to get the tools that were missing. They arrived today and my review is not on how the machine works since I just received the complete unit..

This machine should come with a puppy along with a coupon for paper towels if you have carpets

I bought this because we just adopted two puppies. This little machine has gotten rid every stain I have used it on so far. I also decided to clean our couches with it. Let me tell you when I say it works...I mean IT WORKS. I used it on one couch first and it got so much yuck out of the cushions and now that couch looks almost brand new! I am seriously shocked at how well it worked on my couch. Can not wait to do the other one because it is worse off as far as stains. When I clean that one, I will post an update with before and after pictures! Also get the pet oxy cleaner from bissell. Smells AMAZING!

I am disappointed in the moisture extraction. The unit lacks a strong enough moisture withdrawal and clogs up easily on the head. Because of a difficult head removal it is difficult to clean. Ended up purchasing a commercial unit that heats the water. Would i recommend it? Only if you are looking for a quick small job unit. The delivery fas fast and the product seems to be of a decent quality for a smaller unit

The handheld pet carpet cleaner is adequate. The equipment is easy to use but the suction is not superior. This leaves the carpet damp for several hours after use. I can tell it does pick up dirt as the wastewater is dirty so it is doing the job. However, I was expecting more from the suction capabilities, so this is why I do not rate this product higher.

I wanted to take the time to write a review, since I was pretty impressed with this little thing. A couple things: This does NOT use some crazy technology. All this is is a vacuum with the built in ability to spray, scrub and then suck up stains. It does NOT heat the water, so ideally you add the hottest TAP water you can. (dont boil the water.) Then you mix whatever cleaner you want in the built in resorvoir, spray the mess with the ELECTRIC built in sprayer. (NOTHING about it says the sprayer is electric. I figured it just worked like a squeezy bottle. no. you need to have it turned on for it to spray.) which is fine! Just noting. Then let the cleaner soak for a few minutes, scrub it with the built in scrubber, then turn the vacuum back on and slowly suck it up. It sucks up the water incredibly well! And man will it get it clean. I attacked stains that have been there for weeks and they totally vanished, on a nearly white carpet. Almost too clean, as it is brighter than the area around it now. So, what is silly about this? Again, it really is nothing special other than a powerful vacuum that can suck up water, with fancy attachments. But, why do i like it so much then? Because it is simple. I use to go at stains with first a method of picking up what mess I could, then a bucket of hot water, another bottle of cleaner, a brush, and a rag. It was quite the process to clean up pet messes. Now all that is in one VERY convenient package. What was a complicated process with all sorts of tools before is now neatly in this awesome little powerful vacuum. Just add hot water and some cleaning solution and go to town. AND with my cleaning method before, I could only soak up so much of the old water. This powerfully sucks up most of the cleaning water! That is why I like it. 4 stars instead of 5 only because it would be amazing if it had a built in motorized scrubber (like a proper carpet machine) AND a heater for the water. That would help a lot, as to maximize the success with this thing, you really should heat up the water first. But overall, exactly what I needed and makes life so much easier.

I recently moved and my belongings are in transit on pods coming from another state. The home I purchased currently has carpeting installed over a beautiful wood floor. I plan to remove the carpeting and have the wood floors refinished, but will be using rugs in the majority of the rooms, so I will still need something for small spills. The very day I moved in, my small dog peed in one of the bedrooms. I was surprised because he is 10 years old and has never had an accident before. I guess the stress of the multiple day drive, hotel rooms, and all the changes has him a bit off center. I appreciate that he never peed in a hotel room! Since my previous cleaning machine is on a pod and I have no desire to live with a urine stain in the bedroom until I remove the carpeting, I ordered this vacuum. Let me tell you, not only is there more suction, I appreciate the little separate part that contains the pet stain water, allowing me to quickly dump it and keep cleaning. The design of the entire machine is so much easier to clean than my other machine. I appreciate that the parts snap off easily so that I can thoroughly wash every bit of the dirty water containers and the handheld attachments. I will be donating my other machine when it arrives on the pods and letting friends know to purchase this machine when they get a pet instead. They truly addressed all of the issues I had with my other brand.
