Screen cracked same day while using my Apple Pencil

Not really happy with the digitizer kit. First off, not one of the tools that came with it were useful for removing the old cracked screen. Second, the adhesive tape with the kit had lost its stickiness. Third the digitizer had a dead spot all the way down the right side.

The glue is lacking. I scrubbed the frame since I knew the glue was an issue. To make sure all foreign debris was removed. It still does not sick right. I finally had to tape the screen down going that after long exposure to the glue it would stay. After a month it still hasnt.

Easy to install. Came with everything that was needed.

This is not for novice repair-people. I had never replaced a screen before and it took me almost 2 hours but if you have the patience and time the screen and home button works perfect. However, my screen was shattered, this process would be WAY easier for a screen with just a few cracks. I looked up a YouTube video for directions. I had to use a razor blade and a hair dryer or heat gun. I agree with previous posts the adhesive is not strong enough to hold but my iPad is always in a case so that helps it stick together and I don’t even notice. I have another iPad that has a cracked screen that I plan on doing this for and will buy the same screen.

Quite the learning experience. Unfortunately the original control button failed and had to use the replacement. Tried to use the virtual control screen button but still have issues with the functionality.
