> 3 dayI bought this umbrella for commuting and paid more for it than I usually would pay for an umbrella, in the hopes that it would last for a long time. I used it twice and then tried to open it today and the top plastic part shot off and it will no longer stay open. Cheap quality and overpriced.

> 3 dayWe have two people in our family who have sustained brain damage over the course of a long life. Both, including myself, have difficulty with the protruding spikes on traditional umbrellas. At some point, we both end up getting stuck by them, often in the face, which is a real danger when our glasses start to slip down on our noses and arent there to protect our eyes as effectively. This umbrella has an incredibly high price tag, and I cant say that I approve of that. It should be, based on construction and materials, around fifty dollars, not seventy. However, the design covers the end points of the spokes in the interior frame that holds the umbrellas shade in place, over your head to protect you from rain. The covering of those end points and the use of rounded edges results in safety that no one else is providing in their umbrella designs. So far, Ive hit myself twice using this umbrella and it hurt less. I wish they charged a more reasonable price, rather than what the market will tolerate, given that many of us buying these are buying them either for people with a disability like myself or people with something like autism, which is why a friend of mine bought one of these for a family member. It does feel like gouging the disabled, and I dont approve. But, again, the product is excellent. It is a very safe umbrella and is much more appropriate for people who have difficulty controlling muscle movements or who have issues with depth perception in their visions or just people like me who end up poking themselves in the face because they cant quite see that edge where the spoke of the frame is sticking out as a little spike that can get me in the face. I highly recommend this, but I hope other companies will step up to produce similar products. To be clear, the frame is mid-level, as to what Ive seen, in terms of thickness of the metal and quality of the little hinges. The fabric is also right at mid-level, not thick enough to prevent wear over time but not as thin as the cheapest umbrellas out there. The handle is not ergonomic or terrible easy to hold for me. The button doesnt open the umbrella all the way, which I have to manually open the rest of the way. Because of all of these issues, I believe it is worth around forty dollars, however, one that had a functioning opening button would be worth around fifty. I hope this helps to clarify some issues. Basically, with this umbrella, we are paying a premium for safety, not the highest quality. In every respect, other than safety, this is a mid-level entry in the umbrella world, assuming everything works, which it didnt on the one we tested.

> 3 dayThis is seriously the best umbrella I have ever owned! It’s so strong, sturdy, and folds up easily. It’s clearly amazing quality and works so well in the rain! It’s not incredibly large though so it’s definitely a single person umbrella. Highly recommend this umbrella. It’s amazing

> 3 dayI live in a place where it doesnt rain a lot. What often happens is, the forecast is rain and I cant find either of those umbrellas, where are they? And I end up out in the elements and buying a cheapo umbrella from the CVS, using it 4 or 5 times and the tips of the spokes/ribs start to rip through the rim of the umbrella, or the kid tries to open and close it a bunch of times and messes up the mechanism, or the handle breaks off, etc. Needless to say, we have a real motley collection of umbrellas. Which is why its so exciting to have the chance to test out this Blunt umbrella. I guess they call the diameter of the umbrella the canopy. This is a 38 canopy, which is not super small, but its really a 1-person deal.... two people that are very comfortable together could duck heads under it, but walking a block or two that way might be tricky. Walking with the child through the parking lot from the car to the inside of the school or other building would be fine. Im especially excited about the blunt rib ends and the double-lining over them. This and seemingly every other part of this umbrella was designed thoughtfully. From the slip-case to the material, to the reinforced open-close mechanism and more, Im super-impressed with this umbrella. Although I dont think Ill have to deal with it defying heavy downpours and gale-force winds of up to 55 mph (I hope!)... I just have to make sure to put it somewhere where I can find it easily when it rains a month from now!!
