> 3 dayBelow is my experience, but these may work for you. The moment I put this filter in, my HVAC unit started whistling very loudly. This can be an indicator of a faulty filter or an imbalance in the air intake system. So I changed to another new filter from the packet to see if I got a bad one. Same exact whistle. There are no defects in the filers that I can see. But apparently, these restrict airflow so much in our unit, that it makes and awful noise. That will make the system inefficient, use more energy, and possibly cause damage over time. (This is a brand new AC thats less than a year old so its not a clunker right now.) I bought these filters because they were cheaper than the name brand I was using and supposedly, theyre a higher MERV rating with better filtration. My mom and I both have asthma and hers flairs up badly during pollen season, so I need to change our filter a lot. This filter has far fewer (less than half) the folds of our old filter which means much less surface area to catch particles. There is only wire mesh on one side so its less sturdy and the filter itself is thick and fluffy. Which would make you think it would work better, but I dont think so. It looks like its made cheaper, but I got what I paid for. Im not mad. These filters are fine. Im just disappointed that they didnt work out for me. Your mileage may vary. They may work for your system with no issues. There are a lot of positive reviews so they obviously work for some. Give it a shot and you might get lucky. I need to go back to what I was using, but it was worth it just to know for sure.

> 3 dayI had a little issue when getting this filter in. When it arrived the box was crushed which was disappointing because the filter itself had a crease down both sides which I was not comfortable putting in my AC filter drawer. I contacted the seller and got a replacement order sent. When the new filter arrived it was in great shape. No issues. This filter is much better than the one Ive been using. The design is similar, but the filters look higher grade on this compared to the ones I normally use.

> 3 dayI just installed this filter, so hoping it works, but... It advertises as 20x25x4. It isnt. It is actually 19.5 x 24.5 x 3 5/8. It does not fit tight in my system. Im hoping it seals well enough, and doesnt let the air flow around it. The photos are this filter next to the Honeywell original filter, which fits snugly and worked well.

> 3 dayI found the filter to be decent at stopping dust from going through the furnace. The filter was closer to 3/4 thick instead of the advertised 1 thick. The extra 1/4 inch would have given better flow rates through it. A thicker card stock frame would make this a better filter. I like how the filters were packaged in a plastic sealed wrap to keep them dry in storage.

> 3 dayThis filter is the best I have found. Our home had no carpet so the air filter catches a lot more dust. These catch an incredible amount. I change them out about every two weeks or when they turn dark gray in color. Other brands take longer to turn dark but I think thats because they arent catching all the dust and pollutants.
