Ours came with a paper guide that did not fit. It completely slid out - no tension at all

I always expect when I get a hole puncher to be able to fill it up to the brim with paper and punch through all the papers effortlessly. Naturally, just like with every other hole puncher Ive tried, that didnt happen with this hole puncher. I always wonder why they dont make the space smaller so you cant fit too many papers in there. The open space misleads me. Other than that, this is still a great hole puncher. Way better than the one I was using before. It doesnt stick, and it takes up very little desk space.

Bostitch Office EZ Squeeze is an attractive two hole punch that will look good on a desk. It definitely is easy to punch through a stack of papers with very little effort. It has a nice weight to it, so it shouldnt slide around very much. Its mostly made of metal, a rare occurance nowadays. Being able to lock the handle down is a very nice feature, it could prevent someone from accidentally hitting it and knocking the punch to the floor. There is a small pin that you slide to the left to lock the handle down while you depress the handle or slide to the right at you depress the handle, a very useful feature. There are two small, round rubber feet at the rear that probably wont grip very well, from the looks and feel of them. Unfortunately, it has several negative features. 1. There are no instructions with it, so hopefully, my review will help those who arent at least a little mechanically inclined. 2. The slide for adjusting the paper widths (8.5 and 11 inches) isnt very sturdy and can be pulled completely out with the possiblity of losing the adjustment slide. If the punch falls to the floor with the adjustment slide out, the slide could be broken. There are two detents as you pull the slide out, one for 8.5 inches and one for 11 inches, just pull the slide out until you feel the detent for the size paper you are punching. 3. The chip tray locks on the body very nicely and it a bit difficult to open if you have weak or arthritic hands. The chip tray has a plastic hinge that probably wouldnt last long if the tray is emptied often. I dont know if the tray will stay attached once the hinge breaks, after one use I can see stress marks in the hinge. Just be careful to only lower the chip tray a little to dump the chips so you dont put added stress on the plastic hinge. The two hole punch does the job but I still have the above concerns and dont find it to be as rugged as older Bostitch products that Ive owned or used.

This is a well-built decent product that will stand the test of time. I have arthritis, so I was very interested in the easy, low-force punch claim. This is true if you are punching 5 sheets or less. The capacity for this punch is 20 sheets. I tried to punch that many but hurt my hand with the excessive force to get the punch to go through. And I didnt think the holes cut as cleanly with 20 sheets as they did with 5 sheets. It was also very easy to punch at 5 sheets. The low-force claim is true for that volume of paper. There is a slide button lock to keep the unit closed and make it shorter for storage. A great feature. When closed up, the unit is approx. 4.75 wide x 4 deep x 1.75 high. For paper fitting, there is a plastic ruler guide that slides out on the right-hand side of the unit. There is a stop and notation at 8.5 and another at 11. This would allow you to center the holes properly based on which side of a standard sheet you are punching. I found it easy to use this ruler guide and get everything to line up properly without fuss. I didnt find that the ruler was flimsy as mentioned by others. Its not metal, but it is a decent weight of plastic. I found the emptying tray a little hard to figure out without any instructions in the box. There is a picture on the box that shows emptying and I fumbled around with the unit for about 15 seconds to figure it out. There is a piece of hard plastic that forms the base of the punch. There is a thumb-notch flap that you push down towards the floor and a joint in the plastic allows you open a hatch in the back where the punches can be emptied. I found it relatively easy to get the punches out without scattering them all over the floor. I hope the joint in the plastic holds up after repeated bends - if it ever cracks youre out of business with keeping the punches contained. Overall, a well-constructed product that I would highly recommend for home or office use.

I was doubtful that this hole punch would punch 20 sheets of paper as the manufacturer claims, but I can now verify that it really does! I put it to the test with regular computer paper, heavier paper, and some pretty thick cardstock and this little gadget did well with everything I tried. It punched perfect holes into a stack of twenty sheets of computer paper with no problem at all. The holes were perfect and there was no struggle at all. It also worked very well with the thicker pieces of paper and cardstock, although I did use less sheets at a time for those. The hole punch is very small and lightweight, easy to press, and easy to store. If you need to punch paper with just two holes, Id highly recommend. I personally wish it did three holes, since Id use it more often but it does what it claims to do and does it extrememly well.

My filing system lately requires two holes punched, this little guy is a space saver and it works beautifully. Very smooth, and the holes it punches are a little roomier than an older version I was using, which makes dropping the paper into place a lot easier and quicker.
