> 24 hourYo, This Mars keyboard has serious swaggg!!!! Love the backlight, love that it has the OPTION to be wired or bluetooth, as I prefer to use wired always -- because bluetooth is not good for the body. Loving the click-clack with each key press, really gives it that old school typewriter feel. I am happy to have a new keyboard, as I am long overdue and have been using the same one for ten years. Cheers to the next ten years!!

> 24 hourLooks absolutely stunning in person. The keyboard has such a nice sound to it. It came packaged nicely, and the product itself feels very solid & high quality. It comes with extra key caps, a keycap puller, and some yellow switches. The instruction manual is great and so if the RGB, but I wish it could light up in a solid color and the RGB clashes with the keyboard aesthetic! Overall, I really like it.

> 24 hourThis is my first RGB keyboard, but Ive been enjoying watching tech shows on YouTube recently, so it fits with the theme. I love the keyboard. I cant say much more, its a very nice feel, very nice sound, its heavy enough to not move, but I just wish there were some adjustable feet that would let me set an angle to the keyboard. I touch type, and its nice and quick The RGB is nice, but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the RGB is pretty.... limited. I would love some more customability, say solid colors, or the ability to see the lights through the keys (backlit keyboards are SUPER helpful, allowing you to type in the dark). Im enjoying it though! If you want to play with custom switches, hot swappable keys, and the theory of a nice heavy gaming keyboard, this is a great way to go. It feels like a very expensive keyboard for a good price, and you wont regret it at all!

> 24 hourFirst thing I like to do when I get a new keyboard is test all the keys. This keyboard showed why I should keep doing that. The right enter key didnt work. Thankfully, this did come with a switch puller, so I pulled the switch and found a bent terminal. Yep, thatll do it. Also thankfully, this came with spare switches, so I popped one in and now it works. Thats great and all, but I shouldnt have to replace a switch 30 seconds after taking it out of the box. Someone in QC should have caught that. I can probably salvage that switch, but getting that straight is going to be...fun. The keyboard itself is fine. The fact that the power indicator is an LED under an opaque cap is an odd decision. They could have put an LED anywhere else. The included keycaps are completely opaque, so the backlight is kind of pointless. Well, you can always swap the keycaps. RGB just looks weird with the matcha caps anyway. The keyboard just sits flat. Theres nothing to prop it up. It also comes with no wrist support, so youll want to get your own. The charging cable also holds the wireless transmitter, so thats nifty. You can use it wired with that cable too. I plugged the USB-A end into my computer and it instantly worked with windows 11. Broken parts aside, the build quality is pretty good. There certainly are better built keyboards out there, but they are also more expensive. This keyboard would definitely be rated higher if I didnt need to repair it immediately.

> 24 hourOMG I finally found my perfect keyboard. I have gone through multiple keyboards in my quest to find one that feels solid, types well, and is satisfying to use. This checks all the boxes and then some. I absolutely love the feel of the keys, the satisfying click as you type, and the backlight is an added bonus. This keyboard is hefty and weighs in at just a tad over 2 pounds. Just to note in case anyone was wondering, if the battery is getting low the left CTRL button will illuminate and blink a white color instead of the normal lighting pattern. Its a quality keyboard that feels as though its made to last and provide as much enjoyment as one can get out of typing on a keyboard. And yes, I did type this review using the keyboard. :) Definitely recommend.

> 24 hourSummary: What an awesome keyboard. For under a $100 this thing offers a lot. Maybe Ive just been out of the mechanical keyboard game for some time, but this seems like a solid offer at $89.99. Feels well built, sounds great, has hotswap switches, keycaps feel good, supports macro jumping between five different computers. Ive used a range of keyboard sizes and unusual layouts like the Vortex POK3R (60%), the Vortex ViBE, the Vortex Race 3, the Contra, and the DZ60. Ive generally been a Vortex exclusivist, but this keyboard offered a layout that Ive not used before, and its really starting to grow on me. The keyboard box arrived shrinkwrapped. Its in a basic white box that has a graphic sleeve over it indicating what keyboard it is. The keyboard is wrapped in a protective plastic covering. The box had a nice title card at the top. Accessories can be found under the divider that the keyboard sits on. I think the packaging and presentation here are quite good and make this keyboard quite giftable; its basically already wrapped. The board feels well constructed. None of the switches or keys are crooked. Despite the plastic case, the board has very little flex, almost none. The branding is subtle with a small logo on the front-right and in the center of the back. The switches felt in good working order and consistent. The keyboard and all keycaps (including legends) were free of blemishes. The layout of this keyboard feels like the union of the Vortex ViBE and the Vortex Race 3. It offers the convenience of a numpad without the mostly unused space between it and the main keys. The dedicated function row is very helpful for working with computers and virtual machines where getting to the BIOS or other boot menus requires the use of the function keys. The Gateron Yellow switches are a nice change from the Cherry MX Browns Ive used for the past decade. Ive tried other switches, but I havent committed to prolonged use of a new switch like I have with the Gateron Yellows in this board. The operating force is just slightly less than the MX Browns, so I found the main difference to just be the lack of tactile feedback. The hotswap switch feature is a game changer for me. The Gateron Yellows may have made me reconsider my daily driver switch, but this keyboard doesnt keep me bound to them. The hotswap capabilities of this board offer a ton of customization. Its easy to try out new switches without the commitment of soldering them to a board. Ill definitely be focusing on hotswap capabilities for future keyboards. The wireless connectivity is a feature Ive taken for granted in the past. Its particularly useful when doing homelab work where I want to quickly move between devices with the keyboard. Its quite easy to switch between connected devices with this keyboard. You press the FN and Z/X/C keys for Bluetooth devices 1/2/3, respectively. You press FN + V for the USB transceiver connection, and FN + Space for the wired connection. This one keyboard can jump between five different devices with just a matter of a key press. Onto some of the downsides of this keyboard... Maybe theyre not as expensive as they used to be, but I wouldve included PBT+POM double-shot keycaps. The POM material offers translucency to illuminate the legend, making the RGB backlighting more useful. The included keycaps are opaque, so you wont be able to see the legends in the dark. Not a huge deal because its easy to buy a set and put them on. I set the backlighting to yellow to complement the scheme of the keycaps. The manufacturer provides software that can be used to fully customize the backlighting, and you can find that on their website. The software looked half-baked and I found it to be pretty sketchy so I uninstalled it. The right-click menu in your taskbar presented options in Chinese. I wish they provided a more mainstream solution for programming the backlighting besides their own proprietary software. About pricing... At the time of writing this review, the price of this keyboard was $89.99 (depending on the color you choose). For the features this keyboard offers, I think thats a good price. Thats less than Ive paid for all of my Vortex keyboards and none of them have wireless connectivity or hotswap switches. They have value in other ways, but Im still really impressed with the offering here. I did find another keyboard that looks very similar for a lower price. The Newmen GM1000 (ASIN B0BPH9Z8YM) is another backlit, hotswappable, 96% keyboard with an identical layout. I cant speak to the build quality of that board.

> 24 hourEdit: The customer service response was very quick. They are taking care of my problem so I highly recommend a company that works hard to make sure its customers are happy. This is a great keyboard with a really solid construction on the foundation. I love how compact it is for having a full keypad. The problem is I had several bad switches out of the box and even though it came with three extra switches I’ve already use those. So I have no margin for error and I’m concerned what happens the next time the switch goes bad. I don’t have any yellows. So if I replace a switch it’s not going to match. I didn’t go lower because I do have a full function keyboard but I no longer have any margin for error. The next switch that dies I will not have a replacement. I don’t know if this is an issue with the yellow switches or not. But perhaps they need to start including a lot larger number of replacement switches. Perhaps even a full set..

> 24 hourThis is my second Boyi brand keyboard. After the first keyboard I was very excited about getting my hands on this one. Overall I quite like the keyboard, but it has some shortcomings. First the good. The keyswitches are gateron yellows. This is a safe option as I feel they are a switch most people would be happy with. In addition to that there is the fact that it is hotswappable, making it super easy to switch out for a switch you prefer. Personally I find the 90% form factor great as you get a more compact keyboard, without giving up much like your numpad. The keycaps seem nice and sturdy, and they have center printed characters instead of the offset ones that drive me crazy. Lastly the inclusion of both a keycap puller and a keycap/keyswitch combo puller. Both in the wire style that I prefer. On the other hand there are some drawbacks I dont love. There arent any feet. I find it quite uncomfortable to type on a flat keyboard, this doesnt have any options to solve that. My best attempt is trying to find something to lean it on, but its tricky to get the height right. The other big annoyance for me is with the 2.4g dongle. While most keyboards like this, even the other Boyi keyboard I own, have a place on the keyboard to store the dongle, this one chose to include a little clip that goes on the cable. While it is still a better option than a loose dongle it doesnt really provide much confidence in not losing the dongle if I end up taking this keyboard out and about. Overall, this is a good keyboard but it couldve been great. For the price this thing is still a better pick than an overpriced mainstream keyboard, but it definitely has some shortcomings that could be quite frustrating.

> 24 hourThis keyboard is very functional and versatile in that I can connect it through the USB dongle, bluetooth, or even wired to my computer. The keys feel very stable are are very responsive. I really like the retro look of the keyboard with the round keys and the multi-colored layout. This is a very comfortable keyboard and mouse to use throughout the day.
