Buffalo Games - Charles Wysocki - The Nantucket - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle

I have purchased this brand of puzzle before and have found them pretty good. This one however was terrible. The layers were not glued properly and the tabs were bent. I am not sure if this was a manufacturing defect or the company that provided it was negligent in its production.

We knew within 20 minutes of opening the box that there was a piece missing. The first thing my husband and I do is separate all of the straight-edge (border) pieces. Just the two of us on a table that seats eight; meaning, plenty of room. No pets, no kids, no grands. After separating the border pieces, we assemble the border. Within minutes, we thought we were missing one piece BUT, sometimes, the piece is there; its just hard to see. As we progress on the puzzle, one of us will finally see the piece. Not this time. Its missing. We started the puzzle around noon on Sunday and finished it Monday afternoon. Like I said, just the two of us in the house. The piece is missing; therefore, instead of re-working the puzzle and then donating it to the Senior Center, we will throw it away. A little frustrating.

I pride myself in getting these done quickly, but that ARK was impossible.

Lovely puzzle

I have many Wysaki puzzles. They involve just the right amount of easy and hard.

I enjoy Charles Wysocki puzzles. The only problem I had with this order is that the puzzle I received is not the puzzle in the picture above. I have many of Charles Wysocki puzzles, luckily I dont have the one I received. If I had I would have had to return it What I need to know is if substitutions are normal. I like to get the puzzle I believe I am buying.

When you think of Nantucket, you think of the beach. This was not a let down. People were playing, picnicking, walking hand-in-hand, and the life guard was present. What a surprise, though to see a plane in the sky carrying a sign that said I love you Elizabeth. This made me wonder a little more about Wysocki. It also confirmed my fondness for him since my name is Elizabeth also!

Pieces stay together well and because of the detail it is not too difficult to put togetherr.

Fun and well-made puzzle as usual by Buffalo Games! A word of warning, which cannot be said enough: Make sure that the description begins with Buffalo Games! There are many knock-offs that people have said are poor quality! If it says anything else, run! Also, when you click on the desired puzzle, look and make sure it says Buffalo Games underneath the description.
