I have a human sized heated blanket that my cat loves. I wanted this heating pad to be a cat sized alternative. Unfortunately, the cat is not impressed. I can only guess why. For starters, this heating pad is not like a comfy pillow or blanket, more hard and rigid, and you can clearly feel the heating wires under the thin sheet of material. Because of this, it heats up very unevenly. I thought it was too cold, s I used an infrared thermometer to check on it, and it was 96F in some spots and 86F in other spots (at the same time). So I have to put an actual blanket on top of it. Then it is slow to heat up, even on its own, but especially since the heat has to propagate through the blanket. If I keep it on all day then the cat might eventually lay down on it, but its rare. She lays down on the human sized heated blanket even if its not turned on.

Bought one for each of my dogs. Once they realized it was warm they love laying on it. While a larger dog could curl up and fit, I would not consider the large to be suitable for large dogs. Its really rather small. It also tends to fold up on itself and can be a pain to straighten out, so if you have a I must paw at it before I lay on it! dog this can turn into a problem. Overall, though, they are sure happy to have a warm place to lay!

My doctor suggested this for my older cats - she bought it for her older cat who loves it. I bought the small one and the cats both loved it. The issue was they were fighting over it so I bought a 2nd, larger one. Now theres enough space for them both to be on it, and we put the small one in the cat bed, so they have a heated bed now. Its also nice b/c of all the heat settings so the cat who loves the heat can have one pad set at 3 or 4, and the cat who isnt as into heat can have the other pad set at 2 and everyone is happy. In other news, my cats are spoiled :) Great item - exactly as described. I highly recommend.

Got this heating pad for a stray cat that adopted us. Does not like to be in house very long, just long enough to eat. He absolutely loves it. We had a blanket on covered front porch and put this pad on top and he took to it right away when he found it to be warm in his spot. Cat is a good 15lbs and the default 3 heat seems to be just right for him. It got around 20 degrees for a couple of days so we put it on number 4 and he seemed to not stay on as much, so lowered back to number 3 and he stays on it alot. I think this was a good buy and would highly recomened for outdoor cat in a covered setting.

If the cord was at least a foot longer and the control switch a bit closer to the heating pad, this would have been a perfect heating pad for my little kitty. I tested the heating controls and I really like them, especially because I can leave them on 24/7. We live in a very cold climate and throughout the day she will lie on the heating pad so I need to be sure its always on.

1. The cover can be removed and washed 2. It can stay on 24/7 with no issues 3. Chew proof cord This thing was perfect for our first litter of puppies. Nice size to fit in just one corner of the whelping box. The ONE downfall, which isn’t the fault of the manufacturer- I had to have one corner lifted to accommodate the corner of the box. The puppies liked to be under the pig rails, but would get stuck in a corner due to the cord. Again, there isn’t really a way around this, so I don’t blame the heating pad. We kept this thing on, at the same temp, for the first 5 weeks. I have now removed it from the box, since the puppies are older, and more mobile. They were really trying to chew the cord, but to no avail. Would recommend for anyone needing a heating pad.
