These are very well made - the kids love them. The butterfly egg and caterpillar are enormous compared to the real things.

I teach preschool. I have done the live butterfly kits but that is not so great when the kids cant keep their hands off of the habitat. This is a great way to show the lifecycle that is inexpensive and did not result in deformed butterflies.

This is not a toy-- its the real thing. I bought this product for my 3 year old granddaughter. The whole process was a delightful learning experience for her and oh such joy!! We got ten caterpillars when we ordered and each one turned into a butterfly. The kit comes with everything you need to watch the caterpillars turn into butterflies. My granddaughter was able to hold the butterflies on her finger and talk to them before releasing them to the back yard.

Love it!!! Hesitated at first but figured it wouldnt be a huge disappointment if the set wasnt great (since its not very expensive). These are nice and big!! And my daughter and her friends love looking at them. We purchased to go along with the caterpillar to butterfly habitat we purchased. This is for Painted Lady Butterflies and the live Caterpillars we have in our set are Painted Ladies as well. Great!

I am a teacher. I bought this product so my class could learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. They loved It.

We bought these for our daughter who Loves butterflies, but she just wasnt really into it. If you are buying them for children to play with, I definitely recommend buying a set of butterflies instead.
