Faced with the prospect of always needing 2 people to emplace/remove hitch in truck bed, this simple device (combined with an inexpensive ceiling hoist (SuperHandy Manual Chain Block Hoist)), makes installing a B&W hitch a breeze. Im now able to remove my hitch in the off season, reinstall when next i need it.

The B&W Companion slide is one pain to try to remove from the rear bed of your pickup and cannot be accomplished using brute force, UNLESS, you have one of these Hitch lifting devices and a portable crane or some other type of lifting arrangement. Simply install in the jaws, lock and lift out the slider. No issues with sliding straps or things shifting or moving around. It also allow the user to easily place the slider back into the bed and guide it back into the receiver in the bed. Built strong, dependable and safe!

Great part. makes lifting the 5th wheel hitch and the adapter plate easier to do. I use a 2 ton engine hoist and this lifting device.

This product works will with an electric lift to remove your fifth-wheel hitch from the back of your pick-up tow vehicle. Will save your back in the long run. If you have a lifting device I highly recommend this product.
