> 3 dayThis is so much easier and modular. It is a little over priced for just being a piece of metal but the cable management lip and keystone design makes working in the rack a lot easier.

> 3 dayI use two of these along with a 48 port version to manage ethernet, telephone, fiber optic and cable TV in my office/man cave/business. Not having to screw around inside a rack to switch things around reduces the stress of adding a new computer/telephone/TV/switch to my setup and helps prevent mistakes. You really dont want to plug a telephone into an ethernet jack or an RS-232 source into a TV. Color coded jacks are wonderful for this.

> 3 dayCable Matters CAT8 keystones are harder to install in this unit than in a competing unit I also have. I am also not a fan of the way the cable ties attach to the cable support but it isnt a big deal. Keystones are a pain to install because the top of the keystone tends to go above the cutout. What worked was inserting the top at an angle and then rotating down to snap the bottom in. Pressing down on the keystone release and rotating up didnt work. A small deal but why does it say CAT6 on the panel? This takes keystones. In my case they are all CAT8. I can understand the label on a punch down patch panel but not on one that takes keystones. IN summary, it works and the cable support is nice but I like the other one I have better.

> 3 dayEverything from CableMatters that I have dealt with has been top notch, and this patch panel is no different. I prefer keystone patch panels such as this over regular punch down patch panels due to their versatility, but to each their own. Very well made and sturdy and comes with small zip ties to secure it to the panel for strain relief. Either keystone/punch down patch panel is a must have for a clean professional install.

> 3 dayOur company uses cable matters for many products. They put effort into making a reliable product. This is no different.

> 3 dayCompared to several other patch panels, the ease of installing keystone jacks into this patch panel was awesome. I didnt even need tools. Sturdy construction and the cable support bar is excellent.

10-06-2025I decided to try a keystone panel after only ever using regular patch panels previously. Now if I have to pull out a cable I dont have to worry so much about getting every piece of insulation out of the back, I can just replace the jack if I have to. The zip tie points are great too, because I dont have to worry about cables flexing near the jack if I have to pull out the panel.
