> 24 hourI have about 900 GB of data on this 2TB CalDigit Tuff Nano Plus. Im using the provided cable (and Ive tested with a second CalDigit TB4 cable) connected to my 2021 MacBook Pro M1. Using Blackmagic Disk Speed Test, Im seeing regular/typical write speeds of 50 - 90 MB/s. Read speeds stay above 400 MB/s. Occasionally, the drive write speeds will jump into the 100s of MB/s but then gradually slow back down. I have an older CalDigit Tuff Nano 512GB and it consistently gets over 500 MB/s write and read speeds using same cables. I sent CalDigit support an email with questions on this drive - will revert back if/when I hear something from them. If not, then I will be returning this drive. *** Update - I sent multiple inquiries to CalDigit Support. Never heard back. I decided to delete all the files off of the drive and retest for write speed. When the drive was empty, the write speeds jumped (and stayed consistently) to 800 MB/s. I can only surmise that the write performance drops significantly when the drive reaches about 50% full. I recommend you test your CalDigit Tuff Nano Plus 2TB with data on it and monitor for write speed reduction(s). Good luck. I will be returning the drive.

> 24 hourIf you have a Mac you are good to go, since it is formatted for Mac from the vendor. If you have a PC, its not that easy. A PC wont even recognize it as a drive until you delete the Mac information. You have to find it as an administrator and figure out what to delete, since what comes up on the screen doesnt match what it says in the directions. Once the Mac info is deleted, you can then format to your PC. If I figured it out, Im sure most folks will. It just seems like a lot of fuss, when it could have come blank - ready to format for either application.
