> 24 hourGot this to centralize and backup thousands of photos from different media. Was seamless with my macbook. Got pretty warm when working, but it didnt to affect it. Like the size and speed. Overall a very nice product.

> 24 hourThis drive was purchased to run on both macOS 11.x and Windows 10, running through a variety of synthetic benchmarks and real-world tests like Adobe Premiere footage / previews drive, and others. While the design is solid and I dont have doubts about its rugged aspects, the performance of this drive is dissappointing. For starters it doesnt get anywhere close to 10Gbps as a top read/write speeds. When brand new it consistently performed around 700 MB/s write (instead of ~ 1200) and 900 MB/s read. These are not bad by any means and certainly better than older USB drives, but not to the level expected based on whats advertised. Worse was after a few weeks use the drive started exhibiting very choppy write speeds where even with simple benchmarks the speeds randomly spike between really low numbers like 200 MB/s and somewhat higher around 500 MB/s. Drive has been tested with diagnostic utilities and shows as OK, and reformatted in different ways, but the issue persists. My opinion is that this drive will not reach the speeds most people will expect and will not hold up under heavy use very well. For occasional backups or office use its probably fine.

> 24 hourI have about 900 GB of data on this 2TB CalDigit Tuff Nano Plus. Im using the provided cable (and Ive tested with a second CalDigit TB4 cable) connected to my 2021 MacBook Pro M1. Using Blackmagic Disk Speed Test, Im seeing regular/typical write speeds of 50 - 90 MB/s. Read speeds stay above 400 MB/s. Occasionally, the drive write speeds will jump into the 100s of MB/s but then gradually slow back down. I have an older CalDigit Tuff Nano 512GB and it consistently gets over 500 MB/s write and read speeds using same cables. I sent CalDigit support an email with questions on this drive - will revert back if/when I hear something from them. If not, then I will be returning this drive. *** Update - I sent multiple inquiries to CalDigit Support. Never heard back. I decided to delete all the files off of the drive and retest for write speed. When the drive was empty, the write speeds jumped (and stayed consistently) to 800 MB/s. I can only surmise that the write performance drops significantly when the drive reaches about 50% full. I recommend you test your CalDigit Tuff Nano Plus 2TB with data on it and monitor for write speed reduction(s). Good luck. I will be returning the drive.

> 24 hourHave the Surface pro X device with 128 gig so this came in handy after researching how to upgrade the surface and this drive was recommended to have the exact ssd drive inside and what a difference it made surface has more space more faster running Windows 11 what a great deal.

> 24 hourI bought this to be able to transfer large files very quickly between computers and it does the job perfectly. I tested around 1000MB/s data transfer rates over USB-C 3.1. It gets a little warm, but thats to be expected. Build quality is great and it comes with both USB-C and USB-A cables as well as a rubber bumper to protect the metal of the drive as well as a nice locking storage case.
