Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Playstation 3

After enjoying Call of Duty 4 (Modern Warfare 1) and 5 (World at War) for the past two years, I was excited about MW2. What a let down. The online play is completely broken on the Playstation. The matching simply does not work. At all. You will be lucky to get 5 minutes of decent online play for every 30 minutes of trying to get in a match. They have been churning out about an update per day trying to fix the bugs, but it only gets worse. I know someone with an Xbox and the online play with that works fine. 5 seconds and you are in a good match.

This game has to be my favorite of all time! The one disappointment that most people have is that the campaign is too short, checking in at approximately 4.5-5 hours. However, in those 5 hours, the players will experience a game that pushes the limit and is quite controversial. Gamers will play with a variety of characters, including Soap, Roach, Allen, and Ramirez. As the player, you will follow the story of Task Force 141 and the Army Rangers in the events occurring 5 years after the end of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The story has an epic ending, and it does leave room for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (speculation of course, but it does have an easy opening for the next game by Infinity Ward). One reason people believe the campaign was so short was due to the inclusion of Spec Ops, a game mode which consists of independent missions similar in design to the Mile High Club epilogue mission from Call of Duty 4. These missions take place in a variety of locations from the campaign mode, but are not related to story of the campaign itself. Most of the Special Ops missions may be played alone, but all of them support two player cooperative play in which two players can play together locally or online. Such mode includes scenarios such as a snowmobile race between the two players, one player providing air support from an AC-130 with the other player conducting operations on the ground, capturing an enemy compound, and searching areas for and eliminating 40 or more enemies at a time. Special Ops is divided into five separate groups of missions: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. Each mission may be played at three difficulty levels: regular, hardened, or veteran. Successfully completing a mission earns the players stars; there are up to three stars available for each mission: one star for completing the mission on regular difficulty, two for hardened, and three for veteran. Once enough stars are earned, more missions are unlocked. There are a total of 23 missions with their respective 69 stars available for unlock. At the end of each mission, a statistics screen displays how long the player(s) took in order to complete the level and how many kills were scored by each player, amongst other data. The online multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 2 retains the same experience points and unlockable reward system as that of Call of Duty 4, with game modes that include Free-For-All, Search & Destroy, Demolition, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Capture The Flag. However, Modern Warfare 2 introduces several new features. Aside from new weapons, equipment, and perks that upgrade to pro versions after meeting utilization requirements, 15 different kill streak rewards can be unlocked and selected by the player. Overall, YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME!!!

This came without a case. The disk was scratched so badly it wouldnt play. It is a good game, but bad disk. Had to get another one.

Continued good graphics, intense action, and game has the most logical arrangement of controls of any competitive game. Additional features for training are numerous. Relatively short game but no major complaints except that blood splatter on face shield is annoying.

Bought this for a Christmas gift and its one of the best gift ever! Definitely will be recommending this to anyone ! Great gift for sure!!
