Canon SELPHY ES40 Compact Photo Printer (3647B001)

I purchased a Selphy and took in on a one-week trip with my Granddaughters through the Pacific Northwest. EAch night we would sit down in the camper and print out our favorite photos of the day and glue them into journals. We had so much fun making multiple layouts ~ great picture quality!

I bought this product a couple of years ago for only 87.00 dollars now they are selling it for 3Xs the money. I wished I had bought 2 at that time. Anyway this is a great product the pictures come out fast clear and glossy I love it.

This printer is great for small here and there pictures that I want printed. I have a photo printer I used before but in the end this is more cost effective. To print about the same amout I have to buy 2 differenet inks plus photo paper about $75. I would only use this for small jobs because sometimes it doesnt accecpt some of the pictures on ur card. Easy fix for that is if u open up the pic in windows paint and save as and save as a jpeg. Pain in the butt but it worked for me :) over all Im pretty happy with this printer for what I use it for, I got it in a pkg deal when I bought my canon rebel for a sick price!

This is a great Printer and so much fun in many situations. Take it to family reunion, my DIL is school teacher she uses with her students. Everything about this printer is fun, cool, and neat. Complaints from others about the only manner to purchase ink/paper cartridges is online. But that is fine with me.

This isnt my first Selphy but I like it better than my previous ones. I do a lot of traveling and I love the way this one is compact. I also prefer the way the cartridge is set up with ink and paper instead of being separated n the other version I had, less to keep track of when Im out and about.

A couple weeks ago I was in a thrift store where I live and saw a box on a shelf so had to take a peek, It was this printer still new in bubble wrap. Turns out the person bought the wrong ink set up for it so figured it didnt work and donated it. The price on the printer? $15! So I bought it not knowing really anything about it and brought it home, Ordered the correct ink online and it works wonderful. I love the printer quality, the ease of use and that it will even take my mini sd card out of my phone to print photos off of! The creative feature on it is fun to play with, add little frames on your photo and adjust the lighting ect is great too. If I ever run across another one of these for cheap I will buy it so I have a spare! I bought the ink online at Kmart because it was cheapest I could find, $26 for 2 sets of ink and 50 sheets of paper each so 100 photos. Please note , This printer can not take any paper except what is made for it and its all one piece, ink and paper together!

I brought this printer 4/6/11 and I use it to do even photography, where I need to print pictures out on the spot at a club, and the pictures come out to magenta or brown and I tried to adjust my camera in many ways and it doesnt change.They really dont have adjustments on the camera to really help you use it and they really dont have controls that are user friendly.The picture quality is horrible and I would rather, as a professional, step up and pay the money to get what i really need. So I am taking it back to the store I brought this from and return it and get my money back.Personally I dont like the unit and wouldnt recommend it to anyone, but every need is different.

I purchased this printer for my girlfriend. Shes not a very electronics saavy person and will usually not even bother to attempt learning about new gadgets. She basically plugged this printer in and was printing in less than 2 minutes. Picture quality was good. Printer speed was average/good so no complaints. The paper/ink combo kits are fantastic. You always have the exact amount of ink for the amount of paper in each package so you never run out of one before the other. Very compact and light weight. LCD screen is a great feature. Overall this is a great printer and very worth your time, epecially for such a great price! MUST HAVE! (Update 4/25/13). I have now owned this printer for over 3 years and its still a fantastic product. The reason Im updating this review is because of the drastic price increase. I purchased this product in 2010 for $50. It is now listed for $350. Its probably worth the money if you have it to waste, but because of the crazy price increase, I would look for something else. Now, If you do decide to buy this product in spite of the price, you wont be disappointed in terms of quality.
