Car Cane

This is really handy! My car is low-slung so even people under 50 with no mobility issues find it helpful. I tried another brand at a friends house, that had a gradiated nose. and it felt much less stable. So if youre choosing between brands, theyre not all the same! Go for the Emson.

I own a low-slung sports car and as I get older, I find it harder and harder to get (in) and out of the dam-ed thing. So I decided to try the Car Cane. It definitely helps to get out of the car, but not really for getting in (at least for my car). The issue I have is the fact that my car is a two-door vehicle and the door latch that the Car Cane fits into is practically behind me when I try to use it. The reason this is a bit of a pain is because the bolsters in my car (a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4) make it hard to reach this latch as I try to exit the car. In addition, the metal part of the Car Cane does not fit snuggly in the latch hole making the handle loose as you exit. It doesnt come out, mind you, but because it is loose it moves around a lot as you shift your weight to exit (which can be a little unnerving). Essentially, it does work as intended, but I wonder if there is a way the looseness of the Cane can be remedied (Im working on some ideas for that now). It also comes with a flashlight and a seatbelt cutter, and it also doubles as a window breaker. So, yeah, I recommend it, but be aware of its issues.

Excellent Product!! Provides great support on ingress and egress from any automobile or vehicle. Convenient LED light has on/off switch that comes in handy in dimly lit situations. No fuss to use.

The car cane has been a big help in getting in and out of the car, following knee replacement.

Best tool ever. Works as promised and very helpful getting in and out of the car after breaking my leg.

So, so. Unfortunately, it doesnt really help my much getting into the car because there is not enough leverage. Maybe it would work better in a different model car.
