It gets 4 stars, though I would like to give it 5 because of the color. The cream color is yellow. Not cream. I originally purchased some yarn at JoAnns and began making a blanket. I did not purchase enough yarn and now JoAnns is completely out of it. The yarn I purchased was a light yellow. I looked online everywhere for this light yellow yarn. The only yellow I could find was Sunflower which looked much darker on the computer screen. Desperate, I bought the cream color thinking maybe... And Im so happy! Its totally NOT cream... Its a beautiful light yellow color, and I couldnt be happier that it is. So if you are wanting a cream colored yarn, do NOT buy the cream color, because it is definitely yellow. Other than the color, it isnt super soft, but Im hoping a few rounds in the washing machine will fix that right up.

I used to purchase Caron yarn when it was made in America. The cream color was actual cream. Now it’s made in India and the “cream” has more yellow tinge to it. Wish it would have been actual cream. It worked out ok for me as I made a baby blanket with this color and it’s still a neutral color but nit anywhere near the cream from yesteryear. Cream should be a cream color and not with so much yellow.

Great value

Caron One Pound is a very good value. I chose it to make an afghan for my granddaughter who will be heading to college this coming fall. The colors were not exactly as shown. The cream is really a soft yellow which doesnt work for this project with the grays. I will use the yellow for another project so it wont go to waste. Perhaps larger photos of colors would be more helpful.

I ordered 4 of these and used 3 1/2 on my project. I came across NO broken ends, NO tangles and NO frays. Will definitely order this brand of yarn again for my projects.
