Although I have the soft Garmin travel case for my GPSMAP 64ST, I didnt think it offered enough protection. It also didnt allow me to easily keep the USB cable and device together. Since I have rechargeable batteries installed, having the USB cable handy is paramount to keep the unit powered up. Since I like taking the device on road trips, the extra protection and the ability to keep the GPS and cable together has proven far worth the sacrifice of extra weight.

Needed a reliable and economical way to store our GPS units. These fit the bill and seem so far to be pretty durable.
