> 3 dayI prefer Casio CG50 to TI 84 CE. It simplifies square roots while TI only gives decimal answer. This means on multiple choice you have convert the exact answer to the decimal approximation. On graphs the Casio gives you the intercepts, etc without having to go through TIs lower/upper/guess to find them. When you are using Solvers Casio displays both exact square root and decimal approx. Too bad Texas textbooks and schools only issue TIs.

> 3 dayAs a college student majoring in a math-intensive field, I recently purchased the CASIO PRIZM FX-CG50 Color Graphing Calculator and have been incredibly impressed with its capabilities. This calculator has exceeded my expectations with its full-color, high-resolution display and natural textbook display feature, making it easy to input and visualize complex equations. The built-in apps, including geometry, spreadsheets, and statistics, are also incredibly useful for my coursework. The battery life is exceptional, lasting for several weeks on a single charge, which is incredibly convenient for long study sessions. The calculator is also lightweight and easy to transport between classes and study sessions. The ability to transfer data between the calculator and a computer is a game-changer for me, as it allows me to easily save and transfer important data for assignments and projects. Overall, I highly recommend the CASIO PRIZM FX-CG50 Color Graphing Calculator to any college student in need of a reliable, high-quality calculator for their coursework.

> 3 dayOutstanding calculator for any middleschool, highschool or college student. Pros: So much easier to use than ANY Ti-XX calculator Bright color backlit screen Completely intuitive interface, even if only slightly technically inclined Comes with USB cable to update OS and add apps/data tables White numeric keys Absolutely does not require a teacher to explain how to use it (unlike every Ti-XX, which requires instructions in math text books plus additional teacher tech support, just to learn the obtuse TI keystrokes) Cons: I would prefer all buttons to be white with colored lettering, rather than black with colored lettering Misc: Im dumbfounded when I hear stories of students returning Casio models and replacing them with Ti models, simply because the school teachers tell the students they dont know how to use a Casio...@@ Theyre totally missing the point!!! ... You dont need a teacher to explain it to you because Casios are so much more intuitive and easy to use! My three older kids all used the Casio FX-CG10 all through high school into college (calculus, chemistry, physics) and noted how much simpler the keystrokes were on their CG10s than all of their peers Tis. My fourth son is using the CG50 because it is simply the newer version of the CG10.

> 3 dayEasy to use color graphing calculator without CAS functionality. Most exams do not allow CAS functionality so it is what it is. while easy to use it does require training on how to use it. Casio has a lot of training videos available on YouTube, so that should be easy. If you dont need graphing, then I recommend the cheaper models from Casio, they are much easier to use and learn.

> 3 dayThis graphing calculator has absolutely all the features of equivalent HP graphing calculators, and more, for half the price. Turns out HP spends gobs of money on campaigns to get teachers all over the country to specify HP calculators in schools. Shame on you HP, and shame on the teachers that tow the line.
