> 24 hourI haven’t done any formal tests with this stuff, but it seems as legit as all the bushcraft youtube videos say it is. It does have a distinctive (and not unpleasant) smell. It is quite tacky, which is good for applications where you don’t want slippage. It’s fairly stiff but easily cut with a (sharp) knife or shears. I’d be careful in storing it, especially in warmer weather, to keep it from leaving tar on other gear. It doesn’t seem to leave residue on your hands when handling it, though, but might if you were in hot weather.

> 24 hourExpensive but real tough stuff.Hard to find at hardware stores, most sales persons never even heard of them.So far I went through two rolls at my campsite using to lash poles for tripods, and my lean to.I also have a roll of the 100 lb teat bank line.Always in my gear bag.A person should ALWAYS carry cordage as well as a few other necessaries like a ferrocerium to start a fire, some sort of cover for a shelter,a container that can be used to boil water in(i.e. questionable water sources that would have bacteria deemed unsafe to drink from,a cutting tool preferably a mid sized fixed blade sheath knife with a Scandinavian edge,a decent folding saw,a good hatchet or mid sized ax,a compass,a cotton bandana,a first aid kit,and and a good brand multi-tool(Leatherman).

> 24 hourGreat stuff. Strong as hell for being such a small diameter. Carry it with my USGI poncho, just in case.

> 24 hourUsing both this braided cordage and their twisted strand type I find this product without peer. The braided cordage is super strong and is used for most anything requiring a strong connection, like a tarp to a ridge line, or a toggle connection to a tree. The twisted style is about as strong, but if the need arises it may be taken apart (separated) into three lines of number 12 bank line for use in repairing things in the field. I carry some of both types in my main pack, and have pre-made, quick deploy ridge lines already set up with this tarred line and 550 paracord.
