Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (Chicka Chicka Book, A)

I first read this to my son when he was one and a half months old. He smiled and (almost) laughed, he liked it so much. Amazing that a book can do that to a child at that age. He still loves it, and youll be amazed how quickly you learn to recite it by memory. It comes in handy all the time -- waiting in the doctors office, riding in the car, anytime he starts to fuss. And it doesnt matter if I dont even have the book around -- I just say it and the words capture his attention. Excellent.

Still a favorite in our family.

I teach preschool and this is one of the best ways for them to learn the alphabet and sit still at the same time. We have the tape that has someone sing and read and they all love to listen to the song. Most of them know the story by heart and sing it to their parents. This has got to be the best way for children to learn the alphabet. Way to go!

I ordered this for my daughter, who learned the song last year but was starting to forget the words. I was pleased to see that this edition had the song in its entirety (this wasnt clear from the descriptions--there are shortened versions out there..). Charming depiction of the lower case letters climbing a tree followed by the capital letters pulling them one by one out of the debris from their fall. Valuable for working with younger folks on letter recognition (caps vs lower case) and just plain fun for older kids to memorize.

I bought this book to introduce the letters to my son. He loves the story and it really is helping him learn letters!

great book!

This was one of my favorite childhood books, so I was thrilled to find a board book edition that actually contained the full length story. My son loves it, and we have since given it as a first birthday gift to a few other children. The books is well constructed and durable, and I look forward to keeping it in our little board book library for a long time to come.

Excellent, engaging book. You and your child will remember for decades to come.
