> 24 hourI originally was using a Donner power supply, but one day my BOSS pedal that was plugged into it. Stopped working? I couldn’t figure out what happened? I tried to fix the pedal, but no matter what I did, it just wouldn’t work anymore. After doing research. I found out the Donner power supply does not offer isolated power. It’s basically a daisy chain, so I figured somehow the power supply fried my pedal. I didn’t want to risk damage to any other pedal, that’s when I researched other better pedal power supplies. After a lot of research I went with the Cioks. Just for a laugh I decided to plug my broken BOSS pedal, and to my shock it worked again! It was like the Cioks gave it the jolt it needed. I also noticed all my other pedals seem to sound stronger like they too are getting more power. I’m am very happy with Cioks. I know it cost a lot, but as they say buy once, cry once. Save your pedals and yourself some headaches, and buy the Cioks. You won’t regret it.

> 24 hourIf you own a Quad Cortex and are looking for an alternate power supply, this is the one! Please bear in mind you will need 3 8800 parallel adapters to power it, but Cioks will release a small device called Crux that will be connected to the 24v output and feed direct power to the Quad Cortex. The power supply fits underneath a Pedaltrian Metro 20 or 24 with some velcro and becomes super convenient. I find it a little pricey, but wouldnt power my Quad Cortex with any unit.

> 24 hourAfter using two other power supplies, I tried the CIOKS DC7 because of the variety of voltages it offered and the compact size. Because of these features I was able to mount the DC7 underneath my pedalboard, saving valuable space, enabling me to mount and power my 2 channel mixer on the board. An added bonus is the power cord is a standard cord, not the usual flimsy wall wart type. I definitely recommend the CIOKS DC7 without reservation.

> 24 hourI used the screw template and mounted it under my pedaltrain metro 24 and it does not touch the ground, which was my biggest concern before the purchase. I have 9 pedals linked to it and there’s no noise and no power issues

> 24 hourMy pedalboard was getting noisy with my old power supply. And I needed an upgrade. The DC7 looked perfect on paper, but was it worth the money? I debated long and hard and talked myself into ordering. In hindsight, there should not have been a debate. Its perfect. I have clean and noiseless power for all of my pedals, even in this old house. A lot of supplies could probably provide the same. But I really like the size. This is thin enough to fit under my Pedal Train Metro with room to spare. It came with a template and screws so it is solidly mounted under there. I also like the power gauge that tells me I have room to spare in the power availability (and if I need to down the line, this can be expanded with a DC4, I believe). The cables that came with it had everything I needed. But I do expect Ill need to pick up more cables as I add pedals. They appear cheap enough, so its not really a concern. In the end, Im quite happy. All of my pedals are quiet now. But this actually made my overdrive pedal sound better (maybe it was underpowered before). I would highly recommend the DC7. And I would definitely buy this again... Without the debate next time.

> 24 hourAwesome pedal power. Much better than my MXR and my one spot. It meets all my needs and more. Great for high MA usage pedals. Super clean with no added noise. This is the lowest profile pedal you can get. I use it with two splitters and I am able to power 9 pedals.

> 24 hourI Did need to make or buy some of the cables I needed to run some of my gear (ie current doubler cable to run my PodGo via 2 power outputs) these arent included in the pack so check what you need.

> 24 hourIve been playing guitar for over 20 years. Ive gone through nearly every power supply known to man. Im pretty sold on Strymons Zuma and Ojai stuff, but I wanted to build a smaller 12x18 board (compared to my normal 18x32) board to reduce my footprint a bit. I also wanted to build something that I could take up to my newborns room to lull him to sleep. The Zuma was way too big to fit under the board, so I decided to give the DC7 a try. While Im not particularly fond of the RCA jacks for the power on the DC7 side, this power supply provides tons of power. You can power almost anything with it without having to worry about is this the 300mA output or the 100mA output? Compared to the Strymon stuff, its built like a tank too. Im not getting rid of my Zuma and Ojais on my big board, but the DC7 (also paired with a DC4 - it expands!) does the trick for small spaces with big power demands. Dont cheap out on a power supply - pick one of these bad boys up, stop worrying about power concerns, and get to playing.

> 24 hourI’ve had other power supplies from other manufacturers fail, but never with CIOKS. Highly reliable and stable, quiet power. A+
