Before buying this system, I was having to bleach our RV water system every few weeks to get rid of the strong sulfur smell which I believe was a result of iron in the well water reacting with the magnesium anode in our water heater (I dont recommend bleaching because it can be hazardous, but it was the only method Id found to work, and I was getting very frustrated with this water smell that would not go away). Weve been full-timing for a few years and this problem just started at our latest location where we use well water. I emailed Clearsource to explain my water problems and they replied within minutes and gave two recommendations for me to choose from. They offered to customize my order to place an iron/Rust Inhibiting Filter on the inlet side and Coconut Shell Carbon Filter in the outlet side (the other option was a three-chamber system which was bigger than I wanted to use).

I’ve had filters for 1 year now, they are excelente! We do not smell the sulfur from our well water. Great filters and company.

This system is easy to install and I had to have it because my well is full of sediment. The water before was like showering in a dirty lake and now it is Crystal clear. The water tastes great!

Bought this for my travel trailer and first of all wanted to make sure all water coming into the trailer is pure for both drinking and showers. I also would like to get away from bottled water because of the toxic of plastic and the expense and hassle of buying the bottled water. Also some campgrounds have some rust in their water which can stain your sink, toilet and shower. I ordered from Amazon but because of the holiday the shipment was delayed. Contacted Clear source and they said they would ship me one from their stock overnight so I would have for my trip. Said to ship the one back from Amazon when it arrived. When I tried to connect at the RV Park the the swivel end on the water input side leaked profusely. Contacted clear Source and they said they had problems with the supplier on the connectors and had changed suppliers and sent me a new unit overnight and UPS delivered it right to my casmpsite. Connected the replacement unit and it worked great. I like the fact that it is heavy duty and well built. I will however secure the unit with a cable and lock to the trailer. Many campgrounds are experiencing theft on high end items. I was also able to find an old well made fiberglass case in my attic that was made for old compuer disc. The filter fit perfect in it and makes it easier to transport plus protection. It would be nice if Clear Source offered an optional carrying case. However maybe some of the new small hard sided luggage may work. I want to thank Clear Source for their quick response on replacing my defective unit. The customer service is excellent.

I purchased the tan color version of this filter system from Amazon for full time use with a fifth wheel trailer. It performs as expected in that it seems to filter all of the desert water grit that our single stage filter couldn’t handle. Prior to installing the Clearsoure system, our “filtered” water was cloudy and tasted horrible. The taste with Clearsource filters is now acceptable enough to drink water at the tap and we no longer need to purchase water packaged in plastic. The Clearsource filtered water IS perfectly clear.

    Greater than one week

Our RV does not have a built in water filter and we wanted something better than the low cost single hang-on filters. After looking at many options we decided to bite the bullet and go with the more expensive Clearsource. This is built like a tank. Very heavy duty and heavy! No issue with this falling over while in use. It should also take a beating while in use and while in the basement storage when traveling. We have had this for 3 months and have used it approximately 45 days and traveled 2500 miles. Water pressure is fine with no drop in pressure. Filters seem to work well with water in 7 different campgrounds. Looked at filters after 45 days use and the sediment filter is obviously dirty and the carbon filter still looks clean. Will be ordering new filter set just to be sure. Overall we are happy with the clearsource and expect it to last for many years.
