I liked the body of the of this shaft collar, and the only reason for the 3 stars is the threads as stated is wrong. I ordered thumb screws for these and it turned out that the set screw is 5/16-24 and not 5/16-18 as stated. It turns out that 5/16- 18 would have been better as there are more options in the size thread.

This worked perfectly for me. I purchased a MERAX pulldown machine with standard (1 inch) weight bar. It came with an adapter to Olympic plates, but it meant I needed 2 spring clips: one for the 1”-2” adapter and one for the 2” plates. I used this as a semi-permanent collar. It holds the adapter and allows the Olympic weight to slide over. Perfect.

WTF Amazon? To be fair, this is a review of Amazon. This item, sure it was less than $2, but still, it should have been new. Plastic bag was torn open the item was dirty and used, that set screw needed to be replaced because the head was stripped out. Not worth my time replacing. I did receive another a few days earlier and it was fine.

Very well made. Feels nice. Solid piece. Perfect inner diameter almost to a fault. It was so perfectly cut to 1 ID that it was sort of tight. Wasnt too much trouble though just had to slide hammer it in. Very secure hold once the hex is tightened down. Highly Recommend!

I bought this to use as a replacement for a squirrel baffle. It is not suitable for that purpose. I do not know what its purpose is. Apparently, its good at what it is meant to be used for, but not for being a squirrel baffle. Baffled.
