Clover Amour Crochet Hook: 4.0mm, 4.00mm, Multicoloured

I am doing an intricate pattern of small stitches for a blanket for my Mum. So many stitches that my go to hook is not ergonomically sufficient. The little bit of roundedness on the back of this hook makes a world of difference reducing the soreness of my arm today. I worked about two and a half rows last night and my arm is less than half as sore as it would have been using the other hook. Works so far! Grateful as I have about 50 more rows to go.

I always use this brand of hooks. They keep my hands from cramping during marathon crochet seasons. They are also very smooth so they dont snag my yarn.

Adding a crochet edging to a 54 square tablecloth so wanted to get an ergonomic hook to replace the 40 year old steel crochet hook Im using. Somewhere the sizes have changed. The #20 ball of crochet thread says to use a #10 hook, 1mm. This new hook is a #10 but its only .75mm so its 25% smaller than the old version. The head is so small as to be unusable for this size thread. It would be fine for a #30 or higher thread like for handkerchief edgings. The comfort handle is nice but I returned it as I couldnt use it for my project. Photos show they are both #10s but 2nd photo shows the size difference in the head.

I always thought one crochet hook was the same as another. How wrong I was!! I bought a Clover hook to see what everyone was raving about and suddenly found that I could crochet for hours with no pain.

Very nice to use. Yarn/wool slides smoothly on and off the hook, has actually helped increase the speed of my crocheting. Definitely worth the money.
