It’s so overengineered and heavy that it feels luscious in the hand. Don’t make the rookie mistake of tamping your coffee tightly though... you’ll want to leave it slightly loose to get some good crema to it. Maybe they should add it to future editions of the board game Clue, as it outweighs half of the game’s murder weapons.

I bought this item to use with my gaggia carezza espresso machine thinking that I will need it. But with the machine I really dont have to use it I just like it very much so Im keeping it just in case I would need it in the future.

The handle gets tendency to unscrew, will need to apply some hot glue.

This is a great tamper. Fits my Alessi moka pot coffee funnel! Has nice wright. Is easy to clean. Is durable with nice materials. The black aluminum handle can be easily be removed from the stainless tamper through simple twists (the handle is threaded into the tamper).
