I bought this item to use with my gaggia carezza espresso machine thinking that I will need it. But with the machine I really dont have to use it I just like it very much so Im keeping it just in case I would need it in the future.

I spent way too much time deliberating on which tamping device to get. So many options with respect to material and design, subtle differences in curvature, length, heft and balance to consider. In reality, it’s task is quite simple - press the coffee flat and tight. This one matches my Krups perfectly and feels very solid in my hand. I can tell you of the several I was debating between, all were from the same manufacturer, Omgogo. Apparently their aesthetic and mine run parallel. It’s fun to use, makes me feel like a snob.

I needed a second tamper for my espresso machine at work. I didnt want to spend as much as I did on my home one and this looked nice. It totally exceeded my expectations. This is really nice and heavy. It feels every be as nice of quality as my fancy one costing 3 times as much. The shape of the top could be a little flatter to make it more comfortable for your palm, but if you press more with your fingers on the top of the flat part, then its perfect. I highly recommend this.

I love this tamper! I wish I could toss my plastic on one 10 years ago and replace with this.
