My daughter got her first tooth right before she turned five months old. She was chewing on everything, including her fingers. This teether is great because the prongs were about the size of her fingers at the time. She would hold on the ring and bite along each prong. Now at nine months old, this is still her favorite teether. Please be aware that this is silicone and easily picks up dust. However, dont be discouraged. Many products have this issue. We generally wash it after each use.
