Continental Conti Valve Extender (Pack of 2)

> 3 dayConti quality. Unlike other reviewers, I did not have any issues with getting them securely attached and with no leaking. Another brand required pipe dope to keep from leaking, these did not. I use them with Conti tubes, so maybe that’s the reason they work well. They do the job they were designed to do.

> 3 dayEasy to install but thats where the good part ends. The valve reciever end is thick and threaded and makes it difficult to clamp on many pumps. Gets clogged up easily with anti-puncture fluid, which makes changing tubes difficult because you cant deflate them all the way.

Greater than one weekDont waste your money and give yourself aggravation using any valve extenders that dnt have this feature of actually moving the valve. The ones that just screw on to the end of your valve and rely on pressure to open the valve are a royal pain in the butt compared to these guys. Never had a failure with this brand or its harder to fine equivalent from Zipp. Multiple failures with other extenders that close the valve or dont seal wells etc. Get these and give yourself some peace of mind. (Youll need to buy tubes with a removable valve core, which cost a couple bucks more...but youre riding Zipps or some other expensive wheel if you need these, so quit complaining about a couple bucks for a decent tube!). :-)

> 3 dayOK, so this is my second set (and third) of these continental valve extenders. Honestly, the third set is just a spare in the event that for some reason I need them. I have found that too much is better than not enough. I purchased the first set after I received my deep rim wheels from Flo (I dig these wheels and for the cost, the are quite nice). Flo sent me a set of Silca valve extenders, which broke during set up. I was really disappointed in them and became really disappointed that I couldnt use my wheels the day they came. I did a little research and ordered these. Install was quick and (even though Silca is just a one step process and this is three) this was an amazingly simple install. Rode these for IM Austin 70.3 and had no issues (except a nervous mistake prior to starting in which I flattened the tire by unscrewing the extender). I dont seem to have any air leaks, not any of significance anyway.

> 3 dayJust make sure you buy plumbers tape (about $2 for a roll). Dont trust the rubber washers to hold air in over the long-run -- plumbers table should, though. Although, this isnt specific to the Conti valve extenders -- all valve extenders of this type are like that. ALWAYS BUY PLUMBERS TAPE!

> 3 dayBest in the business if you need them. Most companies sell tubes with extenders already embedded to tube. These extenders are nice and secure, no leaks and last longer than the topeaks.
