> 24 hourEven though Im an amateur, I take my photography seriously, and I was interested in seeing what AfterShot Pro 3 could do. Most of my serious shots are of birds and nature, but I also take urban shots and people. Im not interested in special effects as much as I am in correcting small issues that I failed to see when taking the photos. While this software is designed for professional photographers who take hundreds, even thousands, of photographs in a day, it works well for those of us who want to touch up a single shot or to process hundreds of photographs after a trip.

> 24 hourI am a longtime user. Since they bought bibble. I have recently had to re-do my computer. I have been trying to get a working serial number for almost a month. They give me a new case number and a week later, refer it back to old number. Do not even try to call them. They are off shore and VERY difficult to understand. You ask for US based rep and they have none. So you ask for an ENGLISH speaking rep and 15 minutes later you get someone that is even harder to understand. All they want you to do is upgrade. I fell for that about 8 years ago when they bought bibble. No wonder they are struggling

> 24 hourIve been using Lightroom since Version 2 to manage my photo workflow and edit photos, and Ive been pretty happy with it. But Adobes starting to push users how bought it outright to switch over to the Creative Cloud at $9.95 a month, and I wondered if Corels AfterShot Pro could replace it. At only $79.99 (or, to be honest, free, to Vine reviewers) it was certainly worth checking out. Two days ago I received a padded envelope from Amazon that contained what looked like a cardboard CD envelope. The envelope contained not a CD, but a slip of paper with a registration number. As with Adobes products, to install AfterImage you download the software and enter the code to convert a 30-day trial package into a permanent install. And as with Adobe products, you can create a Corel usr ID at installation (or after) in order to manage your Corel products.

> 24 hourThe most current version of AfterShot 3, as of July 16 2016, has a bug that causes the preview pane to display Image Not Available. If you cannot preview an image it renders the software useless. Corel has issued a workaround for the problem, but unfortunately it does not work. If you go to the Corel Forum you will notice that quite a few users have been complaining of this issue for a long time, yet the issue has not been resolved as of this date. At this point if Corel does not fix this grave problem, I and lot of others will be forced to look at other raw image processing software.

> 24 hourI feel like this software is a good balance of power and simplicity. Ive been a Photoshop Elements user for quite a number of years. Ive always been put off by the way you have to import files and how editing was always a bit of a separate task from editing and cataloging. AfterShot Pro combines both really well. It lets you use your native file folder organization directly yet you can still create custom collections of shots from multiple folders. Although it has plenty of tagging and keyword capabilities, they arent quite as straightforward nor are they the main focus in this application.

> 24 hourWhen you get started and you eard of lightroom and did not know how to go around with (LR is very complex) you might start to look around for something that does the same thing. Or if you have enough of LR. There is a nice tutorial with a pro out there. If you are the kind to do just a couple of adjustment like contrast, sharpening and exposure, you dont need LR. ASP do that and more. It does not do everything LR does, like if you are a die had vignetting, they have it. But right now there is no white vignetting. But there is always a work around, you can export your picture into something like Photoshop elements or Paintshop Pro. Many users can be just happy with it, but did not eard of Aftershoot pro. Its still a young software, but they listen their customers. If you dont want to invest 10$ per month for Lightroom photoshop all your life, get into ASP. I donT know about the raw conversion, even on Lightroom not everybody is happy about it. I shoot JPG.

> 24 hourNot only will this not open RAW files from your camera phone, but it wont even open RAW files saved from its sister product PaintShop Pro 2019. It doesnt even support the open standard DNG file format (it says it supports DNG, but that is only DNG from specified camera models).

> 24 hourA lot of reviews compare this product to lightroom, because light room is pretty much the gold standard in video editing, but it now has some major competition.

> 24 hourPhoto editing software has come a long way. I used this software to scan and enhance some old photographs circa 1939-1965 and was able to both enhance photo clarity and remove minor imperfections than probably were already on the original negative. Thanks to this editing software, many prized family photos that were deteriorating and collecting dust in a box in my closet have found renewed vibrance and are saved on my computer, ready to produce crisp and clear prints.

> 24 hourI never had a chance to use the product. When you purchase itva code is mailed to your home. Thats right mailed! Than you have to log on to the website enter the code and download your purchase. However my code didnt work. So I went into live chat with a Corel rep. Who said she could fix the problem if she can access my computer and work remotely. During the first 45 seconds she was on my desk top and clicked on my file labeled 2020 Tax Return and proceeded to open the file. At that point I stopped the remote process and vehemently complained to Corel who to date has ignored me. Untrustworthy company.
