This is an excellent cost-effective option for anyone who doesnt need the entire functionality of the much more expensive full Painter software. For less than a tenth of the cost (at the time of this review), I feel this has the features that most amateurs and even some avid amateurs need in this type of software.

I have worked with a variety of releases of the Painter program and my daughter had gotten to the age when she wanted to do graphics too. This daughter has artistic talent and she loves to be creative.

This is the first digital painting software Ive ever attempted to use. As a novice, I can say that Corel makes a good product thats relatively easy to pick up on. Yes, theres a learning curve, but its not nearly as severe as something like Photoshop.

Corel painter essentials is the more simplified version of the full Corel Painter program. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using painter, but there are plenty of online instruction manuals and video tutorials. I am more of a visual learner when it comes to these types of programs, so its nice to be able to see someone using this specific program to create their art.

This software is great for a range of skills - from someone just getting started with digital painting through more experienced painters. Installation is quick and painless, and if you dont have a CD drive it can be downloaded and then you enter the serial codes included in the box to activate.

Fantastic program

This software has very good instructions on most apps provided. The Painter Essentials offers a fun way to use your photographs, or a serious way to create ads. The Digital Art Suite combines good essential know-how and step-by-step instructions to give you more expressive freedom with your designs, whether it be for a cartoonish family picture or a serious wedding photo.

I am not known for my artistic talent in any way shape or form. If my spelling is a bit sketchy. But I got this hoping to learn more about digital brushes, how they work, and what I can do with them. My daughter, she’s very artistic, paints both on canvas and using digital software. So I wanted to be able to understand some of what she tells me.
