18-04-2025This program has a word processor that is more advanced than MS Word. But, it has a spreadsheet program that lacks what Excel has, but is still workable. The database feature is pretty much useless and there is not a mail program. If you are working in an office that works with forms that have to be updated on a regular basis (even one that is 20 years old) this is the suite to get. If you work in an office that is heavy in spreadsheets, go for Microsoft Office. This does not have a cloud like Office has. It works with pdf and spreadsheet generation, epublishing features, rich presentation capabilities, and compatibility with other word processors and office suites. One thing this program has that others dont, is that because it is not as popular as the Microsoft Office Suite, it gets less malware, because hackers break the more popular office suites more often. That is a huge plus.

> 3 dayIve used WordPerfect since it was a DOS software. It always meets and exceeds expectations. The rest of the package contains solid tools that are as easy, if not easier, to use. Quattro Pro is a solid rival to Excel and WordPerfect Lightning has become my newest favorite tool. Dont let anyone try to tell you that Office is better. WordPerfect provides the tools you need to be in control of your work, not the other way around. The entire suite is easy to use, flexible and hearty enough for any project you might want to throw at it.

> 3 daySo let me start by saying that 30 years ago, when WordPerfect was one of the standard word processors, I really didn’t care much for the Microsoft variant. But time has gone by and while the latter made “huge” improvements it feels that WordPerfect didn’t quite keep pace. It joined the Corel family some time ago, which we can attribute the fact to that it even is still alive, but improvements are on a much slower pace than the venerable CorelDraw product line. One major issue with Corel software is the installer they’ve been distributing for a few years now. On my computer it simply will open a window but not install the program. Corel’s help blog shows quite a few folks with the same problem and to this date the only “solution” is a workaround to create another user account on the same computer ans install it for all from there. To be sure, Corel software is the only one out of a plethora of applications that has this problem. It should be easy to fix that, but it still requires the workaround to even install updates. So WordPerfect is the word processor as mentioned, and it sure does work and does a few things well. However, the interface simply feels outdated (not just compared to banner/tab design of mentioned competition). The icons really need a face lift and there is no real option for tablet mode (for fingers). Although it does have a Microsoft Word Interface options, that’s only the icons and associated commands, and not the banner. Overall, I really wanted to like it as I have fond memories for times long gone, but nostalgia really lost to what feels like an outdated program. Presentations shares a similar fate as WordPerfect, although within the suite it’s at least consistent. It won’t keep you from making good presentations, but it does feel less supportive in getting there. If you’re a MS PowerPoint user, it’s fairly difficult to get around and work with Presentations. Quattro looks as if it’s in the same category, but it’s probably the star of the Suite by sheer functionality. It’s still a spreadsheet, and many add ons require Excel while not supporting Quattro. It’s still fairly powerful and the nature of the program makes the somewhat clunky less of a problem. Overall, this suite is fully functional and does not keep you from doing great work. It does, however, make you life relatively hard if you’re used to the Microsoft environment. Even if your starting out, some functionality isn’t very streamlined.

> 3 dayI would probably love the product but the printed label with the activation code has 1 digit on it that can NOT be read. Would love to find a way to get this corrected.

Greater than one weekThis software is an excellent set of programs. They are a great replacement for the MS programs. They work pretty much the same. You can do a whole lot more with WordPerfect than you can with the free options out there. Its very much worth the money.

> 3 dayI like the COREL WORD PERFECT OFFICE STANDARD 2020 Computer program for the seamless installation and setup. There were no issues in the process. The Corel program was supplied with a DVD and includes option for Download had I not an available disk drive. Inserted the disk, started the disk drive and from that point forward the Word Perfect Wizard Installed the program onto my (Win Pro) computer. I answered Yes to the licensing agreement, put in the 28 digit Alpha Numeric Serial number ( including the - ). When I clicked the Finish box the option was presented for online tutorials. The program is full office suite for every thing I do for home, office consulting, BETA authors review plus the Vine Reviews. There is Word Processing including spell checker with preset forms. Note taker. Ebook publisher. Spreadsheet. Create slideshows and other type presentations. Photo editing. Per the manufacturer sales material the program has 900+ fonts, 10,000 Clip Art, 300+ templates, Oxford Dictionary. During the Install/ Setup process the program did not ask for registration. However, on the initial use of the program a popup window ask for an email for Registration. Within a minute or two the confirmation of registration is received and I then could assign a Password to the Registration. There is an Option to receive (or not) additional Materials from Corel. I am very pleased with the installation process and the capability of the program. Recommended Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star

> 3 dayWhile many people I know have worked on and with MS Word for many years, I grew up using WordPerfect. My father was a government employee in the 90s and thats what they used on their first computers, and what we had on our very first home computer. So I learned WordPerfect as a teen and from that point on, I always purchased and used WordPerfect when I needed a word processing program. It just made sense to me and it was always easy for me to go back to and use. As the years went on there were times when I was required to use MS Word and using WordPerfect wasnt an option. I would tend to get frustrated because I never found MS Word as easy to use as WordPerfect and it seemed like MS Word was forever changing how they delivered their products (disk, subscription, online cloud). I missed the simplicity of the WordPerfect program Id always used. MS Word was always wanting to be integrated into the other software on the computer and had a lot of extra going on. But Ive always preferred the user friendly design of WordPerfect, and no subscriptions needed. I find it easy to navigate and it just works well for my needs. However if youre a student in college, be prepared to have most of your instructors require MS Word, especially now that they offer MS Word subscriptions free to college students.

> 3 dayI really love that this is software you buy once and have, rather than an annoying subscription model that you have to regularly pay for. It is better than Libre Office and equal to that other Word. The word processing is actually superior to that other Word with its PDF functionality and ebook options. The spreadsheet program works well. The other Office Power Point is better for presentations, though this presentation software does work and is perfectly usable from time to time. If word processing is your primary need, this software is awesome. Google docs is better for group editing. It is easy to install this software either from the DVD or by download. You can put it on 2 of your computers (your desktop and laptop), but you can only use it on one computer at a time. Overall this software is very useful for a student, home office, writer, or small business.

> 3 dayMy husband has an older computer without a good word processor or other office tools. The Corel Word Perfect was easy to download. There is a CD and a web site. The disc did not work but the website had easy steps for downloading. There are other office applications with this too such as a slide power point and a spreadsheet application. I found the WP application easy to use. It had all the fonts I would expect although I did not find Helvetica but Times New Roman was there, and that is the font he tends to use. You can easily add tables into documents. Formatting was easy too. The spelling was fine but not the grammar section. MS word is better. All the tools are user friendly. Footnotes and endnotes were simple to insert also. I would state that with the exception of the grammar tool this is a very good office suite.

19-04-2025Why would anyone use WordPerfect in a Microsoft Word world? WordPerfect is losing market share to Word and now, especially in the legal field, you find Word is the standard. It used to be legal offices LOVED WordPerfect so I wonder how long the Corel platform will be around. But many still use it. WP handles long documents well and the Reveal Code feature has helped many a person edit errors and formatting in a convenient way. For home users. the advantage is the pricing structure. Like many software platforms, Word has gone to yearly subscription. You keep paying. Now in a corporate setting this isnt so terrible, because you should stay up to date on versions and not let the software drag behind. But for home users, staying even three years behind current is no problem as long as you are compatible with the most current operating system. (Im trying to say here, if you are still on Win7 will you please stop that? There are many problems with operating systems out of support; new software isnt compatible and your antivirus may not be effective. New device drivers wont be on Win7.) So WordPerfect lets you buy a copy and pay for it and youre done unless you want to upgrade. Pros: WordPerfect doesnt charge you for an add-on module in order to make PDFs, share and edit them. In addition to PDF functionality, you get eBook Publisher, and Mail Merge Expert. Cons: File sharing. This is sadly, the star-off on the rating. Even saving files in MS format, sharing can yield unreliable results. And if no one else uses WordPerfect in your work group, you wont be sharing .wpd files. You can save in Rich Text in order to remove codes that interfere with sharing but you can lose some formatting. Another downside; it doesnt look and feel like Microsoft Word. And the suite companions Quattro Pro and Presentation arent super great--esp Quattro Pro which didnt keep up with Excel. Bottom Line: For home word processing with a lot of power, this has it. The cost is a lot less than subscribing to Microsoft Word. If you dont worry about file sharing in Word, you will be fine using it. Basically, you get a full featured word processor without paying a lot, and for my needs at home, I do fine with that.
