Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) 260-Pin SO-DIMM ddr4 2400 (PC4 19200) Memory (Notebook Memory)

I got this pair of RAM for a dell 15R 5520 laptop. It is configured with i7 3612QM and 8G Hynix PC3-12800 RAM and an Intel SSD. Because I use a lot of VMware OS, the original 8G would be a bottle neck. I choose the Corsair 16G module for upgrading. The RAM was detected as 16G in windows 7 x64, but only 6G in the BIOS---that might be because the BIOS only show the last 4 digit of the total numbers---this is not my problem. My problem is it made my computer boot up much slower than the orginal RAM: the boot up time in 18~20 seconds with the original RAM, but the Corsair can only get 60~80 seconds and the worse case was the CPU usage kept 100% in the first 10 minutes---the svhost.exe used most of the CPU. Even the CPU reduce to normal level, the windows experience index reduced from 7.9 to 7.5 and all softwares ran slower than before. DELL technician thought th 5520 support 16G because the chipset is HM77. I didnt get response from Corsair yet. I have no choice but to pull it out from Dell.

installed easy and works great

Cannot get a better deal

Easy install and worked perfectly .

the ram itself is great, my computer is running so much better with the added memory. however when installing, there is no way to differentiate which way to have the card. there is identical stickers on either side, there was no instructions to whether these should be taken off, I couldnt tell which side was which.
