BEWARE:The description of the item as 2666MHz is highly misleading. Unless your motherboard supports XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) and you enable it, it will not run at that speed even though you have existing system RAM runs at that speed. Once installed the memory controller reads the profiles of the installed RAM and runs at the lowest speed reported. This memory reports that it is 2130MHz, and the system slows down to that rate, so it works only at 2130 in my new Dell XPS 8930 PC with I7-8700 processor and 2666MHz ddr4 RAM. This system, though a high performance unit, does not support overclocking and there is no way that Ive been able to find out to get this RAM to run at my system rate.

I prefer this RAM over normal green ram because of the added heat sinks. The performance has been nothing but excellent for my particular gaming build.

When I first installed this RAM, my pc wouldnt boot. I had a mini freakout. Bottom line is had to update my bios in order to use this RAM. After all said and done, this works amazing! Very satisfied.

Paired this with an Asus Maximus VIII HERO board, an Intel I7 6700 4GHz and a Asus GeForce GTX1070 8G Card and love it. I do Drone Videos with Adobe Premier in 4K and this RAM helps like you wouldnt believe.
