Definitely protect, and covers the edges. I was really looking for a more Otterbox style, but this has been surprisingly pleasing for the 6 year old user!

Product came damaged with a small dent on the left side, overall does the job and was cheap.

I got the plastic case, which is not bad, it protrudes from the screen, which helps protects the screen, which is good but no as good as I though it would be, I would try the silicon case

Ive dropped my Vita plenty of times on concrete and it is still undamaged thanks to this casing.

This case is pretty cheap an offers pretty good protection, Ive dropped it a few times and my vita still is not damaged, though over time (Its been almost two years now?) a few of the plastic locks that hold the case together have broken so now when I drop it the case pretty much sucks up the initial shock then pops open. Ive been lucky so far that it hasnt gotten any scratches after popping open but I do feel like I have to be extra careful. And the case also looks pretty cool as well, and it makes it a little easier not to accidentally touch the back panels. For the price id say it was a good buy considering after all this time im still using the thing.

This case was a complete waste of money! I purchased it for my sons new PS Vita thinking that it would fit. I was so wrong! The description doesnt list anything about which Vita this case ACTUALLY fits. My son is disappointed and so am I. It looks better in the garbage can than it did when I tried to force the case to fit :-/

The case is perfect and portect the Ps Vita from normal use. love it, i 100% recommend this case :D

Does not look at all as advertised, makes getting to ANY of the buttons on the top impossible, completely ruined the screen protector I had on there by pulling it up. Didnt come with any instructions. Put the top on first, THEN bottom, otherwise youll peel up your screen protector. Also, I cant get the damn thing off. I put it on, now I cant get it off at all. I do not recommend this whatsoever. Look elsewhere.

Did not fit like a glove, but it fits okay on my VITA-1000. The case makes it a bit hard to hit the start and select buttons - that is the only negative in my opinion. I like how it makes the vita a bit more beefy and feels like I am getting a better grip on the console itself. It is a good enough case and I feel it will protect the Vita from some light scratches. Would not expect too much for the price.
