Cosmos Black Aluminum Metallic Protection Hard Case Cover for Playstation PS VITA 1000 Series, Fits for Oval Start & Select Button Only (NOT for PSV 2000 Slim Version)

I didnt want a bulky case but just enough protection on my Vita to where I wont ruin the glossy coat. This case does that and is very easy on the eyes.

Snug fit for my PS Vita, Honestly I picked this up because I felt the need for my Vita to have some sort of protection from drops (which I have yet to drop once). Always having protecting your investments is a good thing since I play on the go a lot. Some people with fat fingers might find this a bit annoying but the top area (the power and volume including the Vita Cartridge area) may be an issue since they become indented inwards. And you would have to poke your finger or something smaller to tap the buttons. It is not really an issue for me but, the more you know. :]

Once it clicks together it’s very difficult to pry back loose if you want to take it off. The tabs are very brittle and have already had a couple break. I leave it on bc it does seem to give minimal protection to the Vita but it’s not well made and I’m guessing if it were to drop it would shatter.

Very cheap plastic material that snaps together that Im expecting to break sooner or later.

Day one this cover worked perfectly. Only until maybe a few weeks later one side of the back plate that your fingers go on fell off. I glued it back but it came off again. But i really liked this cover, and its pretty inexpensive so im going to order another. Im not going to scrutinize the item and say This is horrible because of this and that. But lets face it, even the best products break eventually. In my opinion this is a quality cover.

First, I dont really consider this item aluminum. Ive purchased aluminum cases in the past for my Dsi XL and 3DS, both of which were similarly priced and you can clearly feel the cool aluminum and the sturdy nature. This item feels like plastic with maybe a paper thin aluminum covering over the front. The rear and sides are completely plastic. It does not entirely close properly on the top, there is a bit of an annoying bump on both sides of the top center where the front and back connect. It is also a bit difficult to hit the volume buttons. That aside, it does look and feel good once it is on the Vita, and does its job of at least cosmetically protecting the device. Im a little disappointed but overall I still feel like its a good purchase below $10 (I purchased it at $8).
