CRAFTSMAN Torpedo Level, 9 Inch, With Shock Absorbing End Caps (CMHT82390),Red and Black

I checked for level and plumb by using a horizontal and vertical surface and then flipping 180° and checking again. The bubbles were perfect. I didnt check the 45° bubble but I suspect it is perfect as well. The bottom plane is milled aluminum for straightness and durability (see picture). It also has two magnets embedded in the aluminum for ease of use on steel objects like washers, dryers, stoves, et cetera. The bottom plane is the only plane that should be used for measuring plumb, level and 45°.

The level wasnt level at all so I returned it. Easy way to test: put it on a counter, read it, then spin it 180 and read it again. If the bubble isnt in the same spot as before, the level doesnt work.

Good value, light weight and accurate.

Good high quality level but the side with magnets is rough metal that will scratch if used to level stainless steel appliances, found this out the hard way on a dishwasher. Wish it had plastic on the side with the magenta to prevent scratches.
