Creative Grids Quilt Ruler 7-1/2in Square - CGR7

Needed this for a fussy cut block. This ruler was just what was needed. The grippers also are a big help.

Creative grids are great. But this one arrived chipped.

It is a creative Grids, there isnt much else to say. They are the preferred ruler of professional quilters for a reason! The nonslip technology on CG rulers is second to none and they are worth every penny

This completes my Creative Grids square ruler inventory. Whew! It takes the guesswork out of making precise blocks and these are easy to use with clear plastic and the non-skid surface. You’ll love these and a complete set will take the stress out of making quilt blocks and craft projects.

I am so glad to have found this ruler (thank you, Amazon for carrying it) and thanks to Creative Grids for making it! I am in the middle of making a quilt for my pregnant daughter and needed to square up the blocks before sewing them together. The blocks are supposed to measure 7.5, but I was having a hard time finding a ruler with those dimensions. Lots of 9.5 and 12.5 and even 8.5, but no 7.5 until I found it here. Why didnt I try Amazon to begin with?! The ruler is clear with gripper dots on the back to hold the ruler steady while you use the rotary cutter to trim up your block or for other cutting duties. I plan to purchase some of the other sizes Creative Grids offers and Amazon sells.

Though not pictured, this ruler does have the white and black circles to help differentiate the 1/2 markings from the whole numbers in the updated versions of these rulers. Needed a 7.5 inch ruler to square up quilt blocks

I selected this brand, Creative Grids, because a friend recommended it, as sliding less than other brands. I now agree. Creative Grids has very lightly texturized spots that help prevent the ruler from moving on the fabric as you are cutting. This size is VERY useful in squaring sewn patches, and has a 45 degree line and markings for corners. I have since purchased other Creative Grids rulers and will continue to look for them.

I absolutely love this ruler! I am doing a square on point blocks and needed something to use to square off......this one is clear and has the nice white lines down the middle and you can line those lines up to your points and it makes squaring off so much more precise and easy. I would never do a square on point block with this ruler to square it up! I do recommend it highly!
