This Crucial ram upgrade worked in my 2017 Mac 18,3 3.4Ghz perfectly. My Mac came with 8Gb ram [2 x 4Gb] in the lower two slots of 4. My version of the Mac can only have a max of 32Gb. I added the two 8Gb memory modules to the upper two slots in the back of the Mac, snapped cover back in, booted up - Perfect. 24Gb of ram. In time I will most likely add another 2 x 8Gb modules - replacing the two Apple 4Gb modules, and sell them for whatever i can get to offset the cost of the added 16Gb. Mac was purchased new on 7/3/17. I noticed an improvement pretty quickly after only a few minutes. Added memory reduces the amount of writes to my hard drive [Fusion] so functionality is faster. I took a shot at these two 8Gb modules based on most others who had success. If it didnt work, Amazon returns is fantastic. Not needed. All worked just fine and - it took less than 3 minutes!
