This SSD is perfect for speeding up old PCs that are showing their age. I used it upgrade a dual core desktop that struggled to run windows 10. Moving to an SSD has dramatically improved loading times and it is now much more responsive. Dont let the fact that this drive is only SATA, its perfect for older systems that cant make use of newer NVMe drives.

Die Crucial BX500 habe ich dazu verwendet, um einen (ur-)alten AMD-Rechner mit Athlon II X4 640 Prozessor zu mehr Tempo zu verhelfen. Das Mainboard (Asus M3A78-EM) ist eine Antiquität aus dem Jahr 2008, verfügt aber bereits über SATA-Schnittstellen für die Festplatten. An diesem Rechner schafft die Crucial einen Durchsatz von 300 MB/sec - d. h. das Potenzial der Sata-Schnittstelle wurde voll ausgereizt. An einer neueren Sata-2-Schnittstelle wäre sicherlich noch mehr Tempo drin, hab ich aber nicht getestet.

Im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Platten sind sich alle SSDs ähnlich. Ich kann da keine signifikanten und für dem Endanwender relevanten Unterschiede erkennen. Deshalb ist für mich der Markenname, der Preis und die Kundenbewertung entscheidend.
