> 3 dayPut a 2tb copy of this drive in a ps4 pro in 2018 and never looked back. No regrets, fully enjoying consistently lower load times and a more responsive ui across the board. Now Ive put another in an old laptop. It was an ok laptop when I got it in 2014, which is a polite way of saying in 2022 it was garbage. So I put this 1tb drive in because the price of this ssd has plummeted in the past 4 years to such an extent that this drive no longer warrants placement into a prized brand new pspro. And besides, the laptop will actually see the full speed benefit of operating from it instead of its native mechanical drive,... unlike the ps4 pro for which at the time the drive was much less economically viable, in addition to the fact the ps4 is not optimized to run an ssd which I knew, and doesnt support the fairly standard ssd trim function, so itll almost certainly die prematurely. Also, I had this laptop then and it could have used it then so finally it gets one. Also I put one in a ps3 first too because my priorities in life are rock solid. All that said, upon installing windows 10 fresh and clean from a flash drive with official files straight from microsoft, and discovering both that the offer I never took to upgrade from 8.1 to 10 for free which I never took 7 years ago was still valid, and that my activation key was somehow embedded in my laptop so I didnt actually have to activate windows as this was automatic, I do now see that drastic difference in responsiveness. Largely due in part to a whistling clean os install Im sure. But, it boots in like a second now. Thats pretty good.

> 3 dayOMG this made a big difference. So much faster. I put in my mid 2012 a1286 MacBook Pro and with a new battery and upgraded ram to 16 Gigs it’s like a brand new machine. Loads stuff instantly now. Before would take 3-5 minutes from startup to when I could use it. I have Mojave installed and this is quite an upgrade.

09-06-2025I was a bit worried to update my Mac Mini mid 2011 with this SSD. However it surprises me well. HDD Installation and OSX restoration was very easy. It however took more than around 8 hours to restore original 500gb Mac hdd to this 1 TB SSD. Crucial has good tutorials on their website to guide about how to restore Mac from old hdd to ssd. In short, however i wanted to write what method I followed
