Cruella [Blu-ray]

I realize I am writing this too long after the release date to have any impact, BUT this was so horribly awful that I couldnt contain myself.

Love prequels and this one didnt disappoint.

My Great Dane would not let us watch it lol.

It had almost nothing to do with the 101 Dalmations. But it was fun to watch.

Disappointing.

I know that the Academy does not recognize Disney movies for awards but Emma Stone is brilliant in bringing 2 personalities to life in this movie that she deserves recognition. She delivers both performances without being over the top or in an expected Disney mold. Her supporting cast is just as good and the story line does not get icky with rote Disney methodology. This movie is just on the cusp of being more of an adult film. I purchased this for my library and for my grandchildren. The soundtrack is contemporary and fitting. It wont be the traditional Disney go to perennial favorite but will be a great addition for Disney-phile movie lover.

This movie was one crappy movie. Don’t bother.
